Hi guys, my first post here

So i will give myself a quick intro then post on the matter that first brought me to the site, I am 21 currently undertaking study in social sciences in Edinburgh, Scotland. Ive not had all that much experiance of cults/sects ect apart from the local Scientology group that seems to have set up here ( Thats actively being fought by trying to educate people on how destructive they realy are, but thats a story for another post )

Over the past six months within many social circles i spend time in ( Mainly student, but some professional) I have been hearing more and more about a new group going under the name ' Black Orchard Brethrenship ' that appears to be some sort of mix between Pagan/Satanic beliefs. I have to say at first it realy didnt seem to worry me at all, its not unusual for pagan social circles and/or satanic social circles to form tight nit groups. Until last week during some conversation that members where paying 50 UK pounds for sessions with a man named Mark ( Center of this group? ) for what was being called ' re-ajustment training & Advice ' , Normaly i wouldnt pay this much time of day, as its not uncommon for people to pay for advice on spiritual matters from someone who they believe has the anwsers, its this ' Re-Ajustment training ' that had me sitting silent in the pub with my mind doing over time as it sounded very akin to some form of mental manipulation. Other aspects of the conversation raised the issue of this groups attempt to quash any outside opinion by using a communial flat located in grassmarket area of edinburgh with ' Live-In ' members only leaving for work or studies, and returning back straight after, only being allowed 'out' again if with other members on group buisness , ie: Posting flyers around the local Uni , handing out leaflets at the many ' Goth ' events held in edinburgh

The Flyers are very plain, with only a picture of what i have established to be a Nordic rune ( Warrior i believe ) could this hint at some national socialist undertones? or more pagan? both? and a contact phone number to obtain a meeting with group members

It raises concern in my mind, especialy when it involves fellow students, as we have already had problems with Scientology being forcefully with students, Narcacon i believe the program was called? and not to mention the children the sent out onto one of edinburghs main shopping streets to push the church, and this group seems to be adopting this ' Hit the streets and students ' Approch to finding new members, One of the main worries for me was the information they had been trying to recruit outside of a well known ' Mental Health ' Clinic here in edinburgh run by our national health service for Young people suffering from Mental Illness

Is my concern warrented? any opinions would be great on what my next steps should be?
