Bodhayan has spoken at SIF centers before and a number of SIF devotees take siksa form him already. You know, how could they not when their own guru has been MIA since the 80s pretty much.
From Bodhayana's website where he is being touted as a "Mentor to help you experience "YOU""...
"64 Rounds is the minimum criteria given by Mahaprabhu that, if you want His service, then you must chant 64 rounds"I don't think butler or his followers have ever chanted this many rounds collectively in their entire lives...
Bodhayan lives off rich disciples. He flies around and gives simplistic talks about "chant and be happy" and eats free food. He was born and raised in vaishnavism and has known nothing else his entire life. His guru, Puri maharaj, was a born brahmin. These groups were in dire conflict with ISKCON for years. ISKCON still forbids their followers from associating with the Gaudiya math. Bhaktivednata had little friendly things to say about his godbrothers.
To feel their nostalgic connection and pretend they were somehow going deeper into their spiritual practice, some ISKCON gurus broke off to follow Shridhara and Puri maharaj and Narayan and others. In most cases this simply created more division and arguments for years among gaudiyas. They argued about the orgi of the jiva, the meaning of the later cantos of bhagavatam. about diksha and shiksha, falling from vaikuntha, how many rounds to chant, how much and what type of service was most important and who was a kanistha, madhyam and uttama adhikari. among many other pointless arguments. Maybe you should just get a job and think for yourself. Just an idea.
If you read the many quotes online from Bodhayan maharaj or watch any lecture of his, it's very simplistic Vaishnava preaching. He's not a philosopher or major-thinking preacher. He was born and raised hearing the myths and it was drilled in his head to serve his old guru and chant, so that is what he does. Most of his lectures are unintelligible to the English-speaking public. Bless you if you can sit through his lecture and get something useful out of it besides "chant and be happy" rhetoric.
In the end this cult, SIF or Gaudiya Math et al, all boils down to one thing: They think that god came to this planet 500 years ago in some small remote are of India. They think that a mantra barely mentioned even in one scripture is the great savior of humanity that will "clean your heart and give you love of god". They believe in medieval myths as literal facts. The final and ultimate goal of their spiritual practice is to realize that you are a 12-year-old cow-herd girl who helps god and his girlfriend have sex for eternity. That is literally the depth of their philosophy in a nutshell. everything else they try to sell you on like you being a spirit soul or being ethical, doing some rituals etc—all religions have this, Hell, all self-help programs have it. In the meantime, they otherwise promote conservative, often very closed-minded and non-critical thought patterns.
RUN.
