Barbara Marciniak is the author of "Bringers of the Dawn," "Earth" and "Family of Light." She claims to channel through to an alien civilization called the Pleiadians. Please visit [www.Pleiadians.net] to get aware of their very false, influential and evil teachings. Visit [www.Pleiadians.com] to find out a little info on the author.

by this group. The first-person reports are of great value to persons in distress who need information and come here to do research.

Barbara is referred to as a 'channel' or a 'medium.' She supposedly receives communications from extra terrestrial beings.

A remarkable number of people put their trust in 'channelled' teachings. They will insist 'But you cannot disprove it!'

The problem is that if information cannot be proved true, or proved false, it will sit around in your mental space like household clutter and eventually more and more 'unfalsifiable' information will pile up with it. That is why certain theories (eg channelling and conspiracy theories) stick around for decades and grow increasingly more bizarre.

Persons who channel information are often assumed to have special authority and that they are especially trustworthy because they are getting their information from sources that are 'psychic' and therefore presumed to be 'spiritual' and therefore 'good' and 'holy.'

THis is a dangerous assumption. It is very easy for a person with even the best intentions to assume that a personal neurosis is actually an angel giving wise counsel. In the Christian tradition, Jesus warned that the devil could impersonate an angel of light, Saul of Tarsus advised us to TEST the spirits, and in Buddhism and Hinduism the persuit of psychic power was considered a distraction from genuine spiritual practice.

A student of a Zen master was asked 'What special powers does your teacher have? Mine can fly, walk on water and read minds.'

The disciple of the Zen teacher replied, 'My teacher has the greatest ability of all. He's glad to be human. He eats when hungry, drinks when thirsty, sleeps when he's tired. He doesnt want any special powers at all.'

Getting back to the Pleidians someone wrote this on one of the Google listserves
