Oh, my bad...it's not linked earlier in the thread. Good article though.

I read the article from the Houston Post. It was super interesting. Yet, it was talking about them protesting outside of churches. That seems pretty ridiculous. I mean it’s fine if they choose to think that this guy is Christ. However, they don’t have to persecute the churches for not following suit. That’s a little over the top.

Here's a really informative page from a Canadian apologetics ministry:

[ledbythetruth.com]

It's full of errors in the text (I suspect that English is not the author's primary langauge), and the man who wrote it obviously spelled Miranda's name wrong (glaring error) but he seems to have thorougly done his homework about Miranda's teaching. I found it very helpful.

He's changed it after I pointed out the mistake.

I got this off of the apologetics-resource email list that I subscribe to:

If anybody gets this please let me know. Since Judgment Day was today I
wondered if there was going to be a rapture-tribulation-destruction of the
world we know scenario by Jose Luis de Jesus - the so called jesus
Christ-man.

Actually, the program was just a big promo that emphasized his doctrines and he basically talked a lot about what he thinks of the world "system," Puerto Rico, and the people who criticize him.

I can tell you that he did have a lot of media coverage, probably more than Lindsay Lohan's latest drunk escapade would get. The guy is smart and a great media mogul of sorts since he says he has 60 satellites over Columbia transmitting 24 hours a day.

I will be in the process of transcribing some notes of his "judgment day"
and posting it here for your displeasure. There was a classic moment when the exclusive reporter from an Univision affiliate asked him "so how do I say goodbye, God be with you or God is you?" Jose Luis responded "that is a good question."

Did anyone catch the latest news about "Jesus Christ Man"? Apparently he's claiming to be the Antichrist and is getting his followers to get 666 tatooes.

I felt interpretating the words literally it's very dangerous and somehow lead many people to go astray... Please do repent before you go to meet God.. :!:

Has this guy ever read the bible?
Since when did Jesus accept Rolex watches and money and want to be the president of the biggest government?
He doesnt sound the least bit like Jesus.
If people read just a little of the bible, they would know this man is crazy.

Too bad tattoo artists aren't held to any level of ethical behaviour. This woman who tattooed the followers with 666 should be forced out of practise (practice? sp?). Although there are "artists" out there who will do stupid things like that, the responsible ones would send people with such requests out of their shop.

Even if she does happen to be a follower, she should still be forbidden to tattoo anyone "professionally" ever again.
