People are instructed to sit at home, and STARE at the Byron Katie photos on her books, and "connect" with her "eyes". That is just a technique to manufacture false intimacy with hordes of people, many of who are what the New Age cult leaders call "love-starved".

Of course any person's "eyes" are interesting, and its very intimate to stare into another person's eyes. But Byron Katie is using her eyes as a marketing technique prop, and also as a direct hypnotic TRIGGER technique. That is a FACT.
If a person cannot see that, or refuses to see that, they better watch out and wake up.

Byron Katie also could wear colored contact lenses, like many movie stars, to enhance their eyes.
But that is not even needed, as Byron Katie and Stephen Mitchell have already pre-framed the audience about the BK Glittering Eyes technique.

A question for Lauren or other BK supporters reading this:

Why is it that once people have done the Work on something, they don't then do the Work AGAIN on the conclusion they come to as a result of having done the Work the first time? If you are supposed to question every thought, shouldn't this include the thoughts you have as a result of doing the Work?

This is another problem I have with BK's methodology. It is not open-ended, and it is manipulative and hypocritical. You are supposed to question everything except the conclusions drawn by doing the Work.

Anticult re-posted those quotes from "Losing the Moon." It's ironic that I posted what I did about BK vs. Hitler (quoted below), since BK doesn't call what the Nazis did 'evil'. She calls it God. Because according to her, everything and everyone is God. If that's not sick and twisted, I don't know what is. It may sound lovely... accepting what "is" blah blah blah... but the implications are staggering as far as where that belief can take a person.

It's ironic too, that BK is all about 'accepting reality,' but when people do the Work they often turn reality on its head and are encouraged or guided to do so by her. And then at the same time she believes nothing is real. Or she believes that everything is God. Or 'grace.' And she wants to become nothing. But she is God. *scratching head*
