Has anyone heard about a very secretive group called "The Light" that is based here in NYC (35th Street)? I can't find anything on them on the Internet or its current leader Tom Baer. The little information I could get was that they are a full-fledged cult. Can anyone help?

35th and which Avenue? I will try to do a quickie recon of the area to see if I can pick up any information. Keep in mind the Opus Dei cult is based on 34th and Lex and the Jews for Jesus cult is around 31st and Lex, so it might be tied to one of those.

I was not part of the Light, but a friend and her children were in it since birth---they left recently and report that, yes, it definitely is a CULT with manipulative mind control and secrecy. Be careful.

I don't know if my last reply made it onto the board or not, so I'll repeat.
I know someone who was born into the cult and then left with her children a few years ago. Everything I've heard about life on the inside of the Light screams cult: mind control, secrecy, exclusivism, etc.
