Are you a current member/attendee of this church? You seem to have close working knowledge of it, at least to judge from your allegations.

In a word...No. If you look at all the countless threads on RickRoss.com, you will see people are yearning for something greater/smarter than themselves. Many of these people come from families that may not have been staunch believers in anything. College campuses are rich with cultic and religious "vultures" looking for young minds to convert. It was like this since the 1960'

Personally, I think that an open "Mormon" has as much chance of winning the USA presidency as does an open Scientologist, an open Jehovah's Witness, or an open Satanist. It can't happen. I could be wrong. (I would prefer voting for an open "Rationalist")

Furthermore, this forum is NOT POLITCIAL. So when a major (USA) politician enters the scene who has a religion of question it is a fine line to walk to post on this within forum rules. Again...DO NOT POST POLITICS. Stick to Mormonism and mainstream America. Thanks.

Former Governor Mitt Romney is a well respected Mormon (LDS). I know that "Mormonism" is NO LONGER considered a cult, but it is a "questionable" religion of fairly recent origins (1820's). Does anyone see his religion playing a role in the US presidential race? Personally, I am apolitical here. This is NOT a political thread. Do NOT post your personal poilitical op

It never ceases to amaze me that State Attorney Generals all over the country would go after someone selling snake oil and making claims that their useless product can't deliver, yet put some flowery language and wrap it in mysteries and "Self Help" and they can rob you blind. If a gypsy (jipsy) tells someone to give them money and they will drive out the evil eye bearing down o

Currently in our modern age, the rise of a radical and clearly violent, strain of fundamentalism has overtaken the middle-east. Iran comes to mind. I would suggest that in this case, like the ancient times of violent christian wars and persecutions, religion being hijacked by monsterous, greedy, power-mad people is the trouble. In a perfect world there would be limited troubles with reli

I agree..."Fat Jap" is very offensive and uncalled for. It doesn't help with the conversation going forward. I think "Lying Body and Mind Rapist" is a better term.

There are non-religious 12-step programs out there run by secular humanist groups which actually claim they have a slightly higher success rate since they don't make people use god as a crutch. Check around. Not all require belief in a higher power.

Does the recent failure (once again) of Harold Camping (Rapture was originally set for May 21, then moved up to October 21...oops!) ever shake any of the poor souls trapped in the Trumpet Call of God by it's false profit <sic> Timmy Boy? I know Lil' Timmy thinks he actually speaks with god (small G) just like the necromancers of old and the witches of the Bible, but I think eit

Hi, all. I just noticed a television advert for a group called "Income at Home". They claim easy money "without selling soap"! Clearly a dig at Amway. If you google search it you will find they apparently change their name fairly often from "incomeathome.com", to "incomeathome55.com" to others to now "incomeathome44.com". It is a firm r

The jury convicted DeathRay on the LESSER counts of Negligent Homicide...not Manslaughter. With Negligent Homicide it seems he could get 12 years in the "can"....or PROBATION. This isn't over just yet until sentencing.

There are commercial agencies that assist people with resumes/CV. I would do a fast Google Search for free help in your area. I would especially search the websites of your friend's state and local governments for help. Governments certainly want your friend employed and paying more taxes. Your friend could also try the local Chamber of Commerce and see if they can point her in the

endgame, pleased to have you posting here. Many folk here (on this thread) are in desparate need of assistance. Many have loved ones involved. I am "Snarky" by nature and I dislike the Evil Satanic Occultist known as Speed "Timothy" Rathbun and believe he is intentionaly misleading christians for his own insane (and most likely) commercial ($$$) interests. Thank you

Why can't the local governments under which these "programs" operate require psychiatric professionals oversee and license these groups? It seems governments could find a great new revenue source (licensing fees, registration fees, legal oversight taxation, etc.) from overseeing these groups to make sure they operate under public safety. Pay attention, governments...LGATs giv

Hi, all. I am starting this thread to be a safe-posting area for fans and followers of Harold Camping who may want to vent/seek help on the newest and most widely reported of his failed prophecies. There are christians, jews, and secularists here who can help. Everything here is 100% anonymous and safe. How are you coping with the latest let-down from Rev. Camping? Will you continu

It would appear that Harold Camping's *NEW* Doomsday date of "May 21, 2011 ET"(Eastern Time - USA) has come and gone and once more the Prophet-Wannabes like Harold Camping and others like Prophet Timothy (real name: Speed Rathbun - "Trumpet Call of God") have failed to accurately predict the Rapture. Isn't there a lil' something from Christian scriptures that

Is this a follower of Lil' Timmy's? Apparently the Rapture is in 5 days from this posting...May 21, 2011 (Saturday...at about 6PM ET). I know Timmy is predicting the End very, very soon so this could be a follower of his. This man claims there will be a mega-earthquake that happens and destroys us all (except for the few TRUE Christians...)
