QuoteLone_Flame_of_EternityIs it me or are many major modern gnosis sites closing their forums to the public or closing them outright? I've been browsing a lot of the sites of older gnostic groups and it looks like their game is finally starting be revealed to the public; as a result they're closing a lot of their public stuff down because of it. Interesting. I noticed that too. N

QuotenotanantiGnostic... What I love is how these people use the phrase "varification in the astral" or "varify". Do they even know what that term means? Have they ever bothered to study its philosophical, scientific or linguistic mean? How about that the true psychological significance of bias and influence. ... One last thing as Keir was good enough to point out some

QuotedsmOne must be careful to avoid thinking that if it is blond and blue-eyed it is fascist. What could be more fascist than the Sicilian mafia, for example? Or the Nation of Islam? No one brought up that "blond and blue -eyed" automatically equates to fascist. Your words not mine. (Certainly just because someone has blue eyes & blond hair doesnt mean they are a fascist.)

Quoterogue80 If you want your salvation, you have to believe truly that Samael is the one and only avatar of the Aquarius. We didn’t really know who he was and of course, they always tell us good thing from him. Ironically, during the beginning of the courses, they tell us not to worship him but just to see him as a man who did bring a teaching for the humanity… - You have to submit to the aut

QuotedsmI am concerned about some of the internet cults we see which appear to be no more than a bunch of videos but which may be acting as "filters" that allow leaders to recruit suicidally-inclined people. It might not even be the leaders of such internet groups, but others who are able to contact and recruit the visible participants. Does anyone else think this is going on? Is thi

QuoteNoble9 "Complacency" implies there is an obligation to do something about factions within a belief group. Most members of a religion, however, probably don't get too heavily involved in the politics. Most just try to live their lives according to whatever doctrines are prescribed by their church, synagogue, etc. Radicals who identify themselves with a certain faith or polit

QuoteRedwing20293What cults are similar to the infamous Heavens Gate cult that was around in 97. I know there was the Solar temple back in the 80s but what other cults are there that are still around today that are similar to Heavens Gate? I think most of these suicidal groups tend too be either very secretive or selective in telling the public of their true beliefs or intentions. I know the Ec

Going slightly off topic. I remember one of the things my exinstructor taught was that "one really dont need sleep. All you need is meditation" (paraphrase). In retrospect its nothing but sleep deprivation. A method often used by cults to break down the will power and critical mind of the student.

QuotemxkittyMalcolmSingh, The "self-remembering" exercise is a form of self-hypnosis. There is also a phenomenon called "snapping" which is a biological and psychological reaction to cult mind control. The result is a natural high and sense of wonderment which the victim attributes to the teachings of the cult. "Wow! I feel better than I ever have before! This group

Has anyone ever read some of the Amazon.com book reviews on Weor's books? You can also tell alot of them have been written by supporters themselves. You can tell how fanactical and out of touch some of them are. Some of the criticism of Weor's books are quiet interesting as well. For example: Customer Reviews The Perfect Matrimony: The Door to Enter into Initiation / Tantra and S
