A quick skim of one website, www.randygageteam.com, really bothered me. Something doesn't feel right. His writing style is actually quite amusing... and sad... Don't fall for this crap! His website, www.randygage.com, is not working right now. I think it's just another bogus scam. Scurry...

Good information on Doreen! I totally agree that I was weirded by her being 40something and already on husband number 4!!! During my read of Healing with Fairies, I questioned her character when she gave hubby #3 this ultimatum: move to Laguna Beach or get divorced. And then, she "wept" when her husband mowed the lawn without warning the fairies living in the grass. And, I did not belie

I wasted A LOT of money on New Age practices. I'm 27 now and I just can't believe how much money I wasted! Louise L. Hay's books- You Can Heal Your Life was a good read for me. So, I bought the workbook. Okay, fine. But, I wanted to work on some other things with her methods. Too bad that her other books are all repetitious- saying the EXACT same thing with different pictures a

This woman scammed your son. Period. Judging from the words in the note, this woman has some serious issues herself. That is not what professional psychics do. (Yes, there are a FEW professional psychics out there; they are hard to come by.) I will keep your son in my thoughts.

Drivingthecar, people can publish whatever they want. I'm just saying that cults have formed around Louise L. Hay, Dr. Doreen Virtue, etc. I opine that some Hay House authors are exploiting people. IMHO, Dr. Doreen Virtue is exploiting people who need more help than an angel board. She has made such an excess of everything angels that I believe she is in it "for the money"now.

::sigh:: I know I sure do miss the company of my internet friend who was heavily involved in Abe-Hicks. She shut me out after I gave some constructive criticism of the Abe-Hicks movement. What happened was that my friend started saying that bad things were happening in my life because I wasn't following Abe-Hicks. (Actually, things weren't so bad. I took a temp job to pay some bills and

My experiences in young adulthood are similar to QuestionEverything's. I, too, thought that changing my religion (Roman Catholicism) would give me the key to enlightenment. I went from the Roman Catholic church to the Episcopal, then Lutheran (ELCA), and then branched into "new thought" religions. A New Thought-y internet friend of mine~ a devout Abraham-Hicks, Louise Hay, Jane

My roommate is a member of the LDS church. She converted in college. I haven't noticed any abuse at all. Her LDS friends are all very healthy, happy people. She has friends outside of the church as well. The one thing I dislike is that the women MUST wear dresses or skirts to church. What's wrong with dress pants? Grrrr

Schwarzie, I will keep your niece in my thoughts. I dabbled in Wicca in my mid-20s. I started feeling anxious and panic-ky all the time. I thought it was a result of my Wiccan practices. But no, I came to terms with having an anxiety disorder. Wicca is generally a very ethical religion. In my experience, it was all about raising positive energy to a specific goal. It could be as simple

I am wondering what people think of Louise L. Hay and her publishing empire. I find most of her work to be filled with same kind of nonsense as Esther and Jerry Hicks'. Her books and CDs are complete scams- same words, different packages. I am very skeptical of her work. Overall, it's just not helpful. Doreen Virtue, Ph.D is the only other Hay House author I've followed. There&

I found this forum through a google search on " 'abraham-hicks'+'cult' " Abraham-Hicks is nothing more than a sick way for the Hicks to make money. They manipulate people's minds into thinking that negative experiences are the result of negative thoughts. What about people with generalized anxiety disorder or obsessive- compulsive disorder? Such people certai
