Dear Friends, As some of you may know, we former members of Gentle Wind Project (GWP) have been telling our personal stories about involvement with that group – for the first time – through a new website at www.windofchanges.org As a result we were sued by the GWP leaders and had to hire attorneys that have now filed a motion to dismiss the charges. This motion will, hopefully, be respond

Hello again, The URL for the Gentle Wind Project website (mentioned in my posting yesterday) isn't working from that posting. I put a period after the address, so that's probably why. Here it is again: Sorry for the inconvenience. Take care, Wind of Changes (former member, Gentle Wind Project) email: windofchan

Thanks for the articles. We read the first one but couldn't access the next two. Will do a search rather than clicking within the post. As outrageous as the story is about the "Tantra Master," there are some very close similarities to many cult leaders who try similar tactics, though perhaps on more subtle levels. Has anyone read the special edition of Cultic Studies Jour

Hello Coz and other readers, Thanks for sharing the info a few days ago on the techniques used by leaders when group sexual rituals are used in cults. Also, thanks for the references to check out about children growing up in groups. I'll be reading those today and also passing the info along to other former members of Gentle Wind Project. It was great that you took the time to check

"Energy work" -- another word for group sex or rituals -- also took/takes place in the Gentle Wind Project. For more about this, you could look at a message posted on this forum today under the heading "Gentle Wind Project." Former members from this group have also published accounts of day-to-day life in Gentle Wind at Corboy's summary of this phenomenon in su

Hello Coz, We expect that there are other present and former members of GWP who have stories to tell, but are fearful of receiving the kinds of treatment that the leaders are doling out in deep spades to us, and to generous individuals and organizations that host our stories on their websites. If anyone wants to read these threats, warnings, and accusations, they are at: or or This is some

Hello Coz, Had a great message in response to yours, but it got lost on this website somewhere. Being new to this Forum, I should ask: is there a time-out period for those of us who take a long time to compose messages? Will try again tomorrow. In the meantime, thanks for your suggestions and support. It is very helpful to have this as a balance for the accusations, threats, and "stra

Hi, Yes, it's actually a "real" group. If you want to see more, you can do a search for "gentle wind project" on or another search engine. It gets even more strange! Thanks for bringing our attention to the LGAT comparision, which we really hadn't thought a lot about before. Take care, Former members

TO: Templar Thanks for your question. If you've been in a high-control group or cult, you know that the leaders do not like former members to tell their stories about what happened to them during their experiences with the group. The group leaders also don't like anyone questioning their belief systems. Since we former members have done this, the leaders of Gentle Wind Project are

Former members of Gentle Wind Project: As former members of the Gentle Wind Project, we would like to spread the word that we now have a website about our experiences with this group: Gentle Wind is a "psychotherapeutic/new age/spiritual" group. Please share this website address with anyone who is considering a Gentle Wind seminar or the purchase of a Gentle Wind "healing
