Rest assured this is the only place I've been posting and having read your post, and you're right about me. I'm 17 years old (Sorry that I'm not actually 18 but I was too much sucked into Raelism to wait for another year) and I was born with Asperger's syndrome (Just in case, it might help.). Sure my last few posts are getting around in circles, I'm easily prone

I've read now. This one I found interesting: "One example is through "loading the language," a feature of thought reform, characterized by thought terminating cliches. Such cliches are easily memorized phrases and terms that essentially become communication shortcuts or "ultimate terms." This can have the effect of stopping critical thinking and independent analy

Oh yeah. Sorry. Just now, I read some other post by you which mentioned the Raelians saying about not needing to believe but understand Rael just after remembering it. Do you know why they say that? and what is there (To them) to understand?

And what about the saying "It isn't the need to believe but the need to understand"? I'm NOT disbeleiving you, I'm still wondering. and What other UFO cults are very similar to this one, I woudln't mind an example or two.

QuotenellejohnWhen I was approached by a raelian once I was told it isn't the need to believe but just to understand. "Need to understand"? You say other cults have this catch phrase? and it seems Raelism isn't the only UFO cult you're well informed about.

QuoteSparky And speaking of "old", didn't the Raelians make some claims of stem cell breakthroughs to make the old young again? You think Rael would have been first to try this "alien" medical breakthrough. He still looks old to me.[/quote Yeah, good point. They never had support from the major science companies and a whole lot of those Raelians are simple folk. Am

QuoteThe AnticultBut it is scary that some people seem to buy it without evidence. Because of the coercion to believe it without the need for evidence. One of books says something like that, right? If there was already a post with this same saying, I did this again 'cuz I thought I didn't post it after typing.

Your first post had me going. So let me get it straight: (I would like a detailed answer for each and every line here please) Rael lied about having met aliens. He is a sick, clever, greedy, egotistic and sex-hungry psychopath. All or most of his claims about building embassies and hospitals and cloning are hoaxes. (How do you know precisely?) Of course, I already knew hi

Quoterrmoderatorrestless: What direct experienc do you have with the Raelians? What specific involvement did you have with them? Did you actually attend meetings, events, programs? Please explain your level of involvement. I never had any direct experience or involvement with Raelians. I merely just looked them up thoroughly. Are you going to ban me for being a fraud or somethin

Quoterrmoderator restless: What is your purpose posting at this message board? At first it was to explain my experience with researching Raelism and hoping to hear from any Ex-Raelians and later as I scrolled through this thread, to learn more behind Rael's motives and such. QuotenellejohnOne of the Raelians current projects is building a hospital in Africa for victims of Female Genital Mutilation. In itself it sounds like a noble project but not much has happened in the past few years except fundraising. He was going to call it the Pleasure Hospital which in itself shows what it really is. Most Raelians are probably pretty benign. They just want to believe

Regarding the article about Rael's childhood history and so on, when Roland said that Claude explained about never having seen aliens and have used the story for his own gain. I wonder, why did he tell Roland that after having spread his story to hundreds of people. One more thing, have a lot of Sci-i stories been running during the 50's and 60's? As films as well?

Quadruple post. And how do we know the cloning claims are fake? Why did Rael also include Geniocracy and Smart vs primitive (His twist on Good vs Evil)?

And during that reported interview with Claude's friend Roland, Claude did tell him he did lie but some part of me didn't want to believe it and so I went in my imaginary world that Claude was being sarcastic.

QuoteThe Anticultjust as an example of Alien cultic weirdness, there is a secret recording of LRH from Scientology with some crazy Sci-Fi alien stuff, which is available at Wikileaks for download. It seems to be a cross between sci-fi fiction he just made up, and a serious mental disorder. Perhaps other alien cults are similar. QUOTE _______________________ Summary "Classified&qu

Sorry for the triple post but I often come up with ideas and questions at unexpected times. I wonder if anyone's examined these articles: Also, if Rael is as far as pedophilistic, this is hard for me to imagine a guy like him being so utterly twisted... and clever if it is all a lie. I'm new to cults and particularly this one which seems so very convincing to me, well I am

Now I know how much of a sleaze that guy is. It was about a week ago, I looked into Raelism. What attracted me was the twisted version of the Bible story. It sure sounded true, (Almost all of it) thanks to Rael's clever use of the names from the other religions: Elohim, Eloha and such. Just today I was beginning to recover from it and revert back to my christian beliefs but one more t

About a week ago, I looked up Raelism (But I was also very new to cults at the time) and seeing all its beliefs based on a twisted interpretation of the Bible, it all just possessed me! But I didn't want it to be true and I figured I should look up more of it as well as the cult leader, Claude Vorilhon to find any faults in it and why he interpretated some parts of the Old Testament and
