I found this short piece on "The Ramana Trust helps people to experience a completely different way of being in the world. It was founded in 2001 by our teacher Ramana. Her name means "Loveable". As a group of adults and children, we are now sharing what we have learnt through our" And one negative reaction on "I was involved in this organisatio

Has this youtube clip "the tao of translation" been mentionned yet ? Mitchell says that every translation of the tao missed the point and he is the one who got it right as he was in a zen monastery and reached all this stages. On top of that some mysterious chinese scolar without a name appears to tell him that he (Mitchell) captured the essence of the teaching. Most interesting is

It strikes me that there is no name, no photo of the teacher in the website or on the book. There is a lot of info on the fourth way on Rick Ross. Awaken foundation is not listed on most fourth way sites. One site mentiones them with a disclaimer attached to it. They are listed as charity with Edwin S Douglas as president. I googled his name and found someone involved in theories about raw

Non attachement in the buddhist sense means (in a nutshell), that there is no permanence in human life, everything changes all the time. The clinging to what has changed or to what is gone causes suffering. Now this has to be seen in the WHOLE of the buddist teaching : compassion, interdependence, caring about all living beings, not deliberatily harming any living being, not causing suffering to

Thanks for answering my question, I can see more clear now, but have to look deeper into it. There is a zenstory about people talking about detachement, without knowing what they are talking about (I forgot where I found it) : When the Tesshu, a master of Zen, calligraphy and swordsmanship, was a young man he called on the Zen master Dokuon. Wishing to impress Dokuon he said, “The mind, the B

In my profession, I know a woman who after being involved with the Work for a year (several four day courses, not the nine day seminars) changed from a warm, emotional person into some state close to autism. It is impossible now to have any meaningful conversation with her. She is only capable of describing facts, this and that happened or was said, without being able to give any interpretation.

The founder of SFK is Karen Berg, co-founder of the kabbalah center. There is an article here on the rick ross site : "Spirituality For Kids : a kabbalah project supported by demi moore." Both the websites of SFK and kabbalah.com use a very vague, general terminlogy. There is an intervieuw with Karen Berg (bellaonline.com) where she uses a lot of newage language, but also very genera

This is a sarcastic site. It's word reading, because it shows how you can wrap anything (even SM) in a spiritual language . There is a paragraph on 'how to make a profit making cult' : citation : "The dynamic at work between Guruji and his followers is as follows: I am still a slave to the whims of my mind, you are too. But rather than being a slave to the whims of your min

The word yoga here is used in the sense of "path", as in karma yoga or guru yoga. Not the yoga with asana's. Their website mentions meditation and philosophie. It's guru yoga : transmission of energy that can only happen in the guru-disciple relationship. Guru yoga nowadays always means : you're going to be exploited.

Hi, Well I could write down a lot of things. But I don't think any intellectual arguments will take away your panic. It seems to me that you should see an exit councelor, instead of a regular therapist. Exit counseling can help you to dismantel step by step all the indocrination you got hooked up in. If there is an exit group counseling, you also would have the support of people who go or we

Hi cinnamon, you are not ranting. This is good posting. I really wonder what the new age or for that Katie and Tolle and all abundance believers have to say about jesus saying that it is more difficult for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God than, (I think) a camel going through the eye of a needle. But I guess the answer will be, you can be rich, as long as you are not attached to it. And if

Hey corboy, I find your posting very refreshing and totally agree with you. Makes me think of that chapiter in the book 'afterzen' by Van de wetering, where some 200 monks zen monks come out of their monestary to a conference in the US and totally freak out because something went wrong with the hotelroom reservations. First time dealing with life and enlightenment is gone.

The thing with the Israelian woman is, Byron did not ask her if she was 100% sure that a bomb was going to be dropped on her or if her feelings were realistic. Byron asked if the woman was 100% sure that she was afraid of war. Of course she was sure of what she felt. Convincing people that they do not feel what they feel, don't want what they want, don't think what they think can cause

This a youtube film from the high demand organisation I left. It is not the teacher but his favorite pet-boy, who spents the churches money on cars, technological gadgets and silk suits. Most of the time he is high on something, but he still is the head of the organisation. Don't know how to forward it to this forum, but when you are on youtube, type in "preaching gipsy". The web

Not to forget : "we are the only ones that know the mind. we are the only ones that have all the answers. we are the only ones that have the techniques ....." and "when I think of all the people out there that are depending on us ...". Looking in the camera with dilated pupils (what's he taking ?) He really believes in it. More dangereous than fraud.

Best is to mail from a public computer (internet café, library), so they cannot find out your IP adress. There is so much stuff about landmark and so much personal stories on the net already, why doesn't the writer approach this people ? Be careful.
