This is a copy of the East-West magazine that had the Christmas message of 1933 that I posted on SRFBlacklist. It was hard to find, and after all these years of searching. In it are Yogananda's remarks about Hitler. You may have to copy and paste this link, because otherwise it will tell you that the page cannot be found. It would be nice to have it preserved here.

TheGlassOnion was taken down by its owner because the SRFBlacklist was there for all to read and make posts to. Everything that was on SRFGlassOnion is also on SRFBlacklist, and as I said, SRFWalrus is also on the SRFBlacklist.

One of you mentioned SRFWalrus. It is back up on the internet and is located here: I am not sure if links are allowed, and if not, just google SRFBlacklist. You will find the Walrus towards the end of the forum as it has a sub forum of its own. The rest of the board is SRF Blacklist plus Kate's anti SRF blog that she took down and said we could use it if we wanted. Then there is a section

I have a facebook account, one where I began posting spiritual sayings from the different teachers, whether Buddhist or Hindu. Then I came upon Mooji’s photo, and I thought how kind and sweet he looked. A beautiful face, a beautiful smile and some pretty words. I began doing research on him and listened to a few videos. And now, from past experience I always do research to see if they have any ki

karam-mudra, there will always be people who won't accept what you are saying and will talk circles around you. i would say a thread of 170 actually does show that there are serious problems with Nydahl's group. This has to be one of the longest threads on RR. But you are wise to say, you may win. Hypnosis is used by many gurus to control their devotees. You actually can give hypnotic s

I am not so sure Misstyk. I think Nydahl is following his teachings. Here is what is in the book, Tantrism: Its Secret Principles and Practices, . QuoteForbidden sexuality, including incest and adultery can and indeed must be practiced. Meats like beef, taboo to the Hindu, must be eaten. Alcoholic liquor, so hateful to the orthodox must be drunk. A tantric precept says, `By drinking and dri

Accusing another of racism is really a desperate measure. She never said that Tibetan Buddhism is the main offender but as far as Buddhism goes, it is. It is the tantric teachings that are found even in Hinduism that is the main offender here. These Tantric teachings are not found in Theravadin or most Zen, sometimes they are found in Chan. Buddha did not teach the tantras!!! As I and Misstyk hav

Not everyone in the world uses mind control, so I don't consider everyone a victim. I only meant that masses of people can be and are controlled by the use of mind control, and these people do not have low self-esteem which was implied that people had if they were a victim of mind control. I am tired of going around and around with you. I think Corboy has done an excellent job here.

Quotesuenamwhat motivates you to draw an line around Tibetan Buddhism to single it out from these other forms of mind control which you yourself are referencing? I was merely pointing out that it doesn't take a person with low self-esteem to be hurt in these religions. All you need is a master manipulator, as gurus are. I don't believe that mind control should be used by anyone, but w

Do you have any evidence to support these accusations? Comments such as these make it really hard to take you seriously, and this is exactly the sort of hysterical reaction that I was highlighting before. I offered you a lot of evidence. Go back and buy every book I posted here. Go to Phayul.com and get on their forum since they are Tibetans. I even offered other websites. You are not intere

We aren't talking about monks and nuns here, we are discussing non-ordained practitioners. In Tibet they have phallic frescos painted on the walls, and in the West they use images of sexually aroused teenage girls to sell cosmetics. If your campaign is against structural misogyny then I don't think this thread is necessarily the best place to do it. As we discussed already, the id

The general attacks on Tibetan Buddhism by the Trimondi site I think are questionable. The whole site seems an anti-Buddhist diatribe. I was a Tibetan Buddhist at one time, and when I learned that my own teacher was teaching the highest empowerments, which includes sex I began doing my own research. Because of what I was told about the Trimondis’ I decided to find books on my own, even finding

I think we should have compassion for everyone no matter what. I always think about how Deepak Chopra wrote a book on not aging and is getting old, just as I knew he would. They believed what they wrote about, but it didn't matter. That is too bad about Wayne Dyer having leukemia.

She isn't the only one that got a letter to take posts off a blog. It is a good idea for her to post her material here. A link on downthecrookedpath also says to come to this forum, giving the link to this tread and taking off one offending post instead of losing the entire blog to google's threats to delete all. This only makes ole Nydahl look really, really bad. What interests me

Speaking of Ole Nydahl, Now I understand why some people believe that others should go to hell, but I won't go that far. Some people I know have been threated with a lawsuit if they leave anti Ole Nydahl material up on their blogs. And goodle wants them to take it down. Seems like sleazy gurus and organizations are good at threatening others.

Good Enough, I really enjoy your posts. I, too, wish that I had known certain things so I would not have joined certain religions, but at the same time I learned alot from them and so am glad that I had been in them. Perhaps the feelings of betrayal were a bit too much. Affirmations do work. I understand your not trusting them or their not working for you. I was severly depressed for 13 yea

Here is my book review: A friend of mine had read the New York Times article and informed me that the author of this book had said that yoga causes sexual desires to increase and that this is the reason why gurus are sleeping around. I felt that finally I had my answer because I had wanted to know why so-called celibate gurus slept around with their disciples. Well, it did and it didn'

Thursday, August 25, 2011Why I Left the Vedanta Society After leaving SRF, I decided to talk with a swami of the Vedanta Society. I was so impressed by him that I began going to the San Diego Temple. A year later I met a guru that I really liked and was initiated by him. My own ideas of what it meant to have a guru were based on what I had read in SRF publications as well as what Vedanta membe

Tibetan Buddhists Believe You Need to Have Sex to Become Enlightened Lama Thubten Yeshe (Introduction to Tantra, 147) wrote: "There is a certain point in the mastery of the completion stage where physically embracing a consort is necessary . . . ." Je Tsong Khapa who founded the Gelugpas, agreed that to attain Buddha-hood in one lifetime, it is necessary to use an actual consor
