The demise of Shiloh would be a fatal blow, devastating to the psyche of the fellowship. It would not be something I would find pleasure in...because I know how many 'good' people have sacrificed to build and maintain the place--and what it means to their lives.

I'm aware of long-term ministries in the L.A. area that are intelligent, and have treated the congregation fairly and with respect (at least from what I have witnessed). I doubt TLWF would be in the sorry condition it is today if the reigns of leadership, post-John, had rested upon them. Off the top of my head there is Walkoe, Lindy, Fisher, Gruenberg...and others, of course, that "blew

Keep squeezing the life and livelihood of the membership, until the base of support becomes so feeble that it can no longer support the weight of the organization. It appears Shiloh University fits perfectly into this strategy. However, if these divinity degrees do lead to quality employment, enabling a decent standard of living for the grads (and ease at paying back the debt), I will stand cor

Pushing Shiloh University upon young adults, in part by selling it as an equivalent of a community college education, definitely fits into the category of financial exploitation. If a kid graduates with a degree that basically is worthless--or at least not as valuable as what they thought--and they're also saddled with significant financial debt--that could take many years to recover from.

This might be considered off-topic, but I just want to admit to myself and everyone that reads this forum that the Chocolate Coconut Almonds sold at Trader Joe's are absolutely amazing. I have no idea whether they are from God or Satan, but I plan to develop even a deeper relationship with them during these holidays. Death to all its rivals!!

'Squashing the fun'...if there ever is a reenactment of scenes from Shiloh in those days, I do not want that role...or anything dealing with the kitchen...or searching for missing fan blades in the sawmill. I think I would prefer the role of a prophet dutifully 'working on relationships' in Iowa city. That sounds good to me.

Yes, Shiloh can be a place you're sent as a form of punishment...or to reeducate you into God's ways. I was directed there one summer to work on a project, which I did. The fact that before I went I suffered a rather serious injury (deep gash in my shin, which became infected), had not sought medical treatment (no health insurance), made no difference. Those behind my placement did not

Just remember--that no matter how much sacrifice the people make feeding the one-way flow...it is never enough. This "God" of TLWF is never satisfied...the people are never given enough. If the leadership of the regime, post-Marilyn, consists roughly of the same few people...which I suspect it will...the exploitation, I mean, the opportunity to serve by providing free labor to God

It's been so long since I read the Bible, I'm no longer even certain if it was Jesus who said: 'Sit down, shut up and listen. When you are done listening, get back to work." I've really lapsed.

kBoy: There was a time when a ‘shepherd’ from an outlying church made his own sign and put it at the entrance. It read, “If you don’t have the guts to become a prophet STAY OUT” Ha--I wish I had a picture of that particular sign. I would use it as my cover page on Facebook.

Can one be both a Son of God and a decent human being? Or are they mutually exclusive? From my experience, and obviously many of those that have posted here, it seems the higher in position/rank a person in TLWf happened to be, the greater proclivity for them to be a total tool--reeking havoc on the innocent. The con that they are actually doing the will of God (you know, because He is so unacc
