Just couldn't resist posting this . A song, especially for The Dear Leader and about Cousin Rufus, on the occasion of completing (here's that magic rounded number again) 1 million daimoku (the magic chant, NMRK). Enjoy! "Sensei, you are wise man, kind man, marching in the street, gonna take on the world today, got a smile on your face, you are full of grace, waving your bann

Quotekyrl I remembered back in 1988 (? I think), we had a convention in Seattle. I was a new Byakuren helping the upper level of this stadium. It was very hot, the air conditioning did not reach the top level so the members kept coming back downstairs to cool down. A YMD leader told to keep the members in their seats and not let them move around. I said it was very hot and that was why the membe

That is an excellent example as to the split-brain compromise that gakkai cult-org. members have to deal with, either in the form of denial or cognitive dissonance. They'd probably tell you that it is Ikeda's "good fortune" (cult-speak) to not be listed there, while the other side of their brain may or may not be knocking on the wall saying "but what does *that* really t

I'd like to put this clip out there and invite fellow board members' thoughts on it. It's pretty well done and very deceiving. 21 minutes in length. Must say, if I didn't have any inside familiarity or knowledge about the gakkai cult org., I would have trouble finding fault with its main message. And therein lies the rub. The cult org. is not really about any of t

I think I've seen a recent cult propaganda photo of Herbie Hancock at a "zadankai" meeting. I believe it was taken sometime in 2012 (?) and was at some cult meeting in someone's (what looked like) apartment in Santa Monica (?). The Cult Org. is still milking it for everything that can get from it. He's a BIG "Dear Leader" fan, too, btw. - Hitch

Anybody want a drink of some nice, cool and refreshing $oka Gakkai Cult Org. kool-aid?? "Japan is right over there somewhere ... beyond this beautiful horizon. I want to hear his voice, ... watch his interactions with members, ... (hee!) ... and make fun

Quotejlynneda63 Hey People, I haven't posted in ages! Been doing well! This week got an email from a member I practiced with long ago. I was told the she "respects my autonomy", she asked to send me a card. Yesterday I get a manila e

The pseudo-buddhist gakkai U.S.A. cult branch marches on, ripping off music and creating their own hack performances for cult meetings. Here is "I Got A Mentor - I Have Found" (to the tune of "I've Got A Woman"). I've got a mentor, I have found, he's good for me. Oh yeah!" "I've got a mentor, way 'cross the sea, he's good for me.

His surname was Matsuoka. All of this talk about hard practicing gakkai cult members meeting with doom and it all being swept under the rug by the cult org., reminded me of one. A really nice (half-Japanese) YWD was an avid jogger (health nut) who early one morning at dawn went for her daily jog and never returned. They found her stabbed (and other terrible things) on some mountain road.

QuoteSpartacus There was something else that strangely connected this young man to me. Before this YMD leader died, he had given a beautiful and very expensive new leather jacket with fringed trim to VP gen dir. Kikumura during a guidance tour. After arriving in Dallas the next day, Kikumura promtly got rid of his valuable new gift by handing it to me with a quip, "Hey Texas, you're a

QuoteNichijew The exact quote is not in this video but you can extrapolate from the video that what I say is true. I will find it. I never make anything up about the SGI or I would lose my credibility. There is no doubt he said that he would definitely overcome his illness because "I am a disciple of Sensei." Why disbelieve it? Would it be out of character for one of Sensei's

Quotecorboy QuoteThat's another thing that was always a bit of a pet-peeve of mine - the feigned enthusiasm. I used to think the same think, that it must get tiring after a while to always have to be "on" and a complete fake. Salaried gakkai cult leaders are never allowed to be a complete human in front of the membership, only an entity skewed toward the positive bright light of

Rattyboy, it's funny how we suddenly remember all these things when they are brought up by others. I, too, heard the "No Accidents!" refrain all the time when I was in, as well as the "getting results" in the shakubuku'ing department reference. The cult-speak has a way of integrating itself into you so deeply in some instances, that you don't even recognize ev

I knew Aoyama and also saw him at many meetings with Williams-Sadanaga. There was an entire book in Japanese dedicated to his story, his "faith" and what it all supposedly meant in the annals of American Kosen-Rufu. The family met and / or got personal "guidance" from Ikeda over it all and that was basically the meat of the background for the whole book. The Dear Leader did

IMO, gakker cult leaders have standard guide/baselines that they start from, when giving "guidance", but are free to ad-lib, wing it and make it up as they go along, too. **** (Caveat: May be offensive to some.) Regarding crazy and dangerous members, there were always one or two people around whom I instinctively didn't trust and was wary of. I kept my distance from them at meetings and even more importantly, I never - ever - allowed myself to be put into a situation where I would have been dependent on them for anything as a "YOUTH!" division member (e.g., joining them in their own gakka

QuoteTaitenAndProud There's something seriously wrong with an organization where leaders cut down other leaders just for doing well.
