The general mindset of the membership is that the $$$$$ is not for the Cult Org., but rather, for yourself. They have genuinely come to believe this magical thinking. You give the money, you get the benefit (i.e., confirmation bias). You give the money and if you don't get the benefit, your "karma" is too deep or heavy (therefore, give more next time around to cut or lessen your

Absolutely essential reading on the $GI cult . Should be read by every prospective, new and current member of this pseudo-buddhist cult org.. With only some very minor points of disagreement (e.g., such as use of the label "brainwashing", which I support, because in my experience, it definitely applies to what I saw when I was in), it's a right on the mark description of the

QuoteTaitenAndProud QuoteLots of Japanese can't wrap their head around *why* non-Japanese members would even join or become part of this Japanese cult org.. I have a few ideas as to why - it's similar in many respects to the evangelical Christianity many were raised with (Pentecostalism is the fastest growing sect of Christianity now), its authoritarian structure is exactly the same as

It's an "official" "Letter Of Protest", with three admonishment points (misrepresentation of NS, mind control over members and the gakkai cult org. being a blight on Japan). Quotedaishastro To me the brainwashing from the SGI fosters dependency and manipulation and superstitious thinking. On this point, you are seeing very clearly and 100% correct. With that key point in mind, . . . . . Quotedaishastro I find it too focused on kosenrufu as the reality is the real world simply does not want it or even need it there are far more many 'capable individuals&#

Gakkai cult members, especially the Japanese ones, are sometimes a very superstitious bunch. That post just reminded me, I often heard that people's birthmarks, dark / large moles, Mongolian spots (!) / port-wine stains, pigmented naevi, etc., were "signs" of past "karma" or "slanderous" events in one's past lives, that manifest in their current life (i.e.

Kayo-kai = Sun Flower Group (or music group). Just another manufactured label to create a special manipulation kool-aid group. Every group has its own brainwashing song. "Forever Sensei", "Higher Than The Sky" were staples of all gakkai cult activities during my time in. This is a rare glimpse into a hardcore circle / gathering, while singing "Forever SENSEI!!" It is slightly reminiscent of the kind of activities that I experienced while in the YMD. I classify it as hardcore "lite", due to the somewhat fast pace, yelling, ad-lib echoing of song phrases, frantic arm waving with closed fists and the lead cheerleading going on. Hardcore &q
