Yep. Position thinking all the way. My position: ex-member and loving life! By the way, this is a very interesting read:

The “collateral damage” done to these sheep was deep. Most of them will require therapy the rest of their lives.

Agree. I have zero regrets about leaving the cult. My only regret is staying as long as I did. WTF was I thinking?

Just three days ago, a vocal ex-TLW member was called out in public on Facebook by a TLW person as being “bitter and self-righteous”. Can you believe it? They’re still calling us names and trying to silence us. It all looks so ridiculous now.

I liked the podcast. It’s difficult to include everything in that podcast. There is so much material. One thing missing that I would have liked to have been discussed more is the mental health damage done. And what ex-members are doing about it. I would have liked to have heard a recommendation for people to seek out professional help if needed. I know this helped me greatly with my own dep

I really don’t see how any LW church can survive now, unless they rent store front meeting halls or meet in homes. I expect their financial spine will erode from the lawsuits. And the lack of young adults remaining is unhealthy. They will just die out as a failed cult. It’s about time.

PowerTrip. Thank you for your posts. Welcome to the forum. Your testimony is very much valued here. About two years ago, someone suggested to me that Silas had been abusing young women in the congregations. I remember that I had difficulty believing it. Silas has always been sold to us as such a good guy. An apostle of love and kindness. But your testimony changes that for me. The ve

Does anyone recall this policy roll-out attempt in LA? They were trying to get people to sign a legal document that stripped a congregant of their right to sue the Living Word. I recall Dan Staton presenting it to us in small meetings. I don’t think it ever got off the ground. Maybe it was decided that legally it would not hold water. I don’t think anyone signed it. Maybe it was just another

Onion Keeping everyone busy was an important goal of the LW leadership. It reminds me of a scene from the movie Waterworld. There was an old oil tanker being rowed by humans. Dennis Hopper was the ship’s captain. I remember him giving the command “Keep them rowing. It will take them a month to figure out I don’t know where we are going.”

I heard from someone who was visiting John & Marilyn at the Kling house after they were married. Marilyn was in a foul mood and was screaming at John about something. John turned and said to the visitor “she’s worse than Martha”.

Reep, I’m thinking about John on his deathbed. I imagine, in a moment of clarity, he looked around the room and saw only his groupies. People he had created by feeding them fairy tales. And other people that wanted his power. It must have dawned on him that these people didn’t REALLY love him. They just wanted something from him. Or they were there as bondservants to The Apostle. And then h

I remember well the feeling of being love-bombed by Marilyn. She would really try to make me feel special at times. Then there were other times when I was a nobody and someone who was not really part of the team. It would go back & forth. Some weeks I was loved, some weeks I was despised. I never knew which way the wind was going to blow. This really kept me on the ropes. It was driving

Chachakitty (I love that name), thank you for posting and providing additional proof of survival and healing from this cult. Bravo !!! The other night, I heard Dan Rather being interviewed on CNN say something to this effect: I’ve covered (reported on) a lot of cults in my career. They never end well. This one (Trump) won’t either.
