According to SGI, and I quote, "the truth must me negotiated." Are they no better than the politicians of the world who insist like Clarence Carter, "don't believe the video of me cheating on you, believe what I tell you." The truth to SGI is not what the Lotus Sutra terms "Thus" or what is is, the truth is what is agreed upon. Even in this statement by Joan

QuoteRothaus@ wakatta1 I loved your plane episode – well done and to my mind not impolite to the elder lady. Another useful thing is to now and again use the Google search on news on SGI. I tend to contact newspapers or rather their online edition when they issue articles that could have stemmed from the SGI-marketing division. I simply tell them politely that SGI has some severe issues and as

QuoteUpgrayedRattyboy you have a certain point. If we lose focus on the SGI cult due to pushing atheism, we might be losing a large segment of people who might otherwise join into the discussion. I do like the direction this thread is going. How do people leave? You are tangled up in the social dynamics of the cult. You have made friends through the organization and you have sp

Daisaku Ikeda has shackled his disciples to himself like a sick siamese twin who will eventually end up killing both himself and his healthy sibling. SGI members are weak of mind and lame of practice. They should immediately wake up from their nightmare that is Daisaku ikeda and the Soka Gakkai and embrace the teachings of the Buddha and Nichiren Daishonin. Nichijew

Nichiren stated: "I, Nichiren, am not the founder of any school." Yet all we hear from SGI is, the founders this and the founders that, Ikeda this and Ikeda that, and SGI this and SGI that. Nichiren so stated because Shakyamuni Buddha is the founder of Buddhism and there was never meant to be various schools or a myriad of founders. Shakyamuni Buddha taught, "Be a lamp unto yo

I would say that this probably applies to both of us. I spent decades learning to observe gakkai cult members and can "read"a "leader" (lower or higher level one) quickly. By their actions, their words, their demeanor, etc., I can pretty much quickly sum up in my mind what kind of person I'm dealing with and adjust accordingly. It took years of practice (pun intended)

Hi all. In general, the Japanese victims of the SGI are more savvy and aware of the true nature of the Soka Gakkai. We have perhaps one or two blogs reporting on the dangers of the cult but the Japanese have dozens. Hi Shavoy. The libel laws are different in Japan where it is much easier to win a lawsuit than in the US where fortunately, free speech reigns. Compounding the problem is that they have hundreds of millions of dollars to spend on a battery of Lawyers and they have many people in high places. Who wants to deal with that? Only someone with lots of courage and conviction. Nichijew
