QuoteTaitenAndProudBack to that passage from the Nirvana Sutra about how King Virtuous was rewarded for virtuously killing a dozen Taoist priests by being reborn as Shakyamuni Buddha... Considering that the definitive text for Daoism, the Dao-De-Ching, wasn't written until the late 4th Century BCE, that means that, when Taoism started, the Buddha had already been dead for decades, if not a

If you can't make it thru the whole 4 min. clip, at least don't miss the 0:15 sec. mark and the closing with "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo", "Thank You!" at 3:59. Buddhism? I don't think so. CULT? Nichiren does indeed clarify his non-violent stance in Establishing the Correct Law for the Peace of the Land: "The host said: You have clearly seen the sutra passages that I have cited, and yet you can ask a question like that! Are they beyond the power of your mind to comprehend? Or do you fail to understand the reasoning behind them? I certainly have no intention of censuring the sons

QuoteTaitenAndProudNichijew, why is it that you say that your wife is alive today BECAUSE you left the SGI? Nancy had many medical and psychiatric problems that began or worsened after having joined the SGI. She had cirrhosis, asthma, diabetes, cardiomyopathy, hep C, htn, blackouts, and five herniated discs from all the falls. She was drinking more than a quart and a half of vodka and 12-24 bud

Many good posts. I had already left the SGI for about 6 months or a year in 1996 but I had not left all my SGI baggage. My very sincere wife bought a beautiful statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in Chinatown. She was so proud of her find. The moment I saw it, I freaked. I told my wife in no uncertain terms that she would have to throw out the statue as we couldn't have it in the house. I told her

For those unfamiliar with how the brainwashing (thought reform) begins for those born into the practice ("mis"-fortune babies), the following clip is a good introduction to one aspect of the process. Gongyo has now of course

Exploiting children like that to fill the coffers is a real disgrace. They should have payed that dear little child a thousand dollars or given her a thousand dollars towards a scholarship fund for encouraging the members to give more donations. The top senior leaders who have a similar job as the little girl certainly get payed handsomely.

There are many people who enjoy associations that are destructive. Many are not even aware that their dysfunctional relationships are detrimental to their well being. Enough evidence of the poison of SGI has been given to keep them at arms length, fair or no fair, pleasure or no pleasure. Mark

We haven't talked much about this but one way to ensure that you don't weaken in your resolve to never return to the SGI cult is to be excommunicated. I know several people who have been excommunicated. Stan Zir of Victorious America made too much of a stink when his wife was raped by a top senior leader. His pal Phil Ohrenstein, when he pushed too hard about failing to follow the Dear

After I moved out of New York City, whenever I had to return, as soon as I crossed the county line into Queens, I would get nauseated. Seeing these videos of the cult I was in for 19 years is like returning to the city. It makes me sick to my stomach. The adults who create these cult activities for the children and adolescents should be be arrested for child abuse. Ikeda and his lieutenants like

SUA is Ikeda's "jewel in the West" and SGI thought control central, so no expenses were and are spared by the Japanese organization. The endowments for SUA are huge, with many wealthy and not so wealthy SGI members donating their hard earned dollars to SUA. For a school with less than two thousand students, it equals proportionally the endowments to Columbia, Brown, Princeton etc.

I loved the discipline of chanting and doing gongyo, not that it was ever performed rigidly regular, but, hey. I loved it. Felt like the vast majority of my prayers were answered. I was happier then. Yeah, I'm saying I was happier then. Now I'm unhappy again. But not totally.

The board of directors on the FQHC are composed of 50% patients selected randomly. The remaining 50% are the administrators, physicians, and nurses. Every single person on the Soka Gakkai's board of director is either a wealthy patron or top leader. So much for the lie that "you are the Soka Gakkai". Lets see Joe the bagel maker or Cindy the cashier on the SGI board of directors.
