This just in from an ex-pat: What is too sensitive? Am I really an overly sensitive weirdo, or am I just...sensitive? And is that really such a bad thing, or is it just a thing? Should I toughen up? Is that even possible? Or was I right all along in thinking that my sensitivity is protection from people who don’t have my best interests at heart?

Changedagain, Gee, I wasn't aware I was facing any sensitivity problems here. Like you and anyone else on this board, I am allowed to defend myself and others from false statements. I too think petty squabbles are unfortunate. But like I said, we are all allowed to defend ourselves and others. Like you, I cherish my relationships with ex-pats too. I too know many of these people and that

Going Rogue, I seldom post anymore. And I seldom draw from old posts. I was trying to commiserate with Nickle because I think he was belittled so I drew from one of my experiences so he could see that changed wasn't picking only on him. That's not against the rules. Please point out to me exactly what was vitriolic about my post so I can run it by the moderator so he can assess if I

I'm trying to catch up but only got as far as posts from 3 weeks ago. NickleandDimed don't feel bad about changedagain's sarcastic comments. I was only on the message board 2 months when I commented on a post by changedagain that he didn't have big breasts. I jokingly said there are plastic surgeons who can help you with that. Changed replied with his signature "ha"

Thanks puddington. While I don't know who the woman and her son are, I do believe what most of you have suggested that at the time she was a victim. She probably was quite young at the time and JRS was probably 20-35 years older than her. However, today she would be in her 60's or 70's. A few years ago during a conversation with Apostle Dog, I referred him to a conversation on Fact

Exactly. And the legitimate heath issues could be NPD or being delusional. Serving in the military can be the ultimate sacrifice. Chump Trump told Howard Stern his Vietnam was avoiding sexually transmitted diseases. That would be like Gary saying his Vietnam is Joels's army and drinking from the courageous discipleship cup. And JRS saying his Vietnam (suffering) was marrying a Nephilim. It&#

If I had kept any This Week, I wish I had kept The Shape of Things that Never Happened. False prophets, teachers and false Christs need to feel validated, to put on an outward show so that others think it's the Holy Spirit moving upon them. You have to ask yourself was John's vision of being transported into the future the Holy Spirit or something else? When deceiving others, it is alw

Trying again to post article from Fellowshipofthemartyrs. Something to think about. If Christians were going to manifest – make evident in the natural realm – they are Christ Incarnate, certain things would probably be common amongst them. •They would no longer be slaves to sin. Like Jesus wasn't. •They would be all the way dead to self and their own desires or wants. Like Jesus was.

NancyB I am sorry your were called a Jezebel. Pentecostals are notorious for throwing that word around. But I know it can be hurtful and leave scars. I empathize with you having been a young mother married to an alcoholic. I usually call a woman in that situation a saint. It is so unfortunate the brethren turned on you rather than help you during that time. But I salute you for thinking on your f

Yes puddington. I went on only one herb picking trip to pick chaparral in the desert. When we got to the bushes, Rocky said to throw rocks under the bushes to chase away the rattle snakes. I have always had an irrational fear of snakes and sharks. I think I remember getting a migraine and spending most of the day sitting in the car. I think Charlie Dole joined me. Ha! We also met some desert rats

Thanks CA and FSCLC for posting about Caroline and Becky. Isn't it interesting how the diaspora of those we cared about so many years ago in the LW still affects us. I did a goggle search to see if I maybe knew Caroline. I don't think so, but it seems according to info I read that her death was totally unexpected and was possibly flu related. I didn't know Becky very well. But I do

NancyB you are so right on about those lazy folks from California. I was one of them. I remember experiencing some stink eye from one of the Shiloh men when three of us hippie looking Californians arrived at the front desk. He later apologized. Imagine that. Someone from the Walk apologizing. Well, I think it goes to show that some of the Iowa folk were raised with values that escaped those of us
