AD. I am so sorry for your loss. She sounds like a wonderful woman. Who is free now. Her passing over fast like that is such a blessing. I'm giving you a virtual hug right now. We all are.

I've been watching the TV show "The Path" on Hulu. It is quite good. If you liked Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad, you'll love this one. The cult is not Bible based so there are some big differences between The Path and the Walk. But the patterns of mind control are the same. The basic story is about a married couple in the cult and what happens when one partner starts to have

I recently finished reading the book Cloudbreak, California by Kelly Daniels. I really loved it. There are some sections that discuss life in the LW church as a kid growing up. Really interesting viewpoint. But the fun surprise was the whole rest of the book. I couldn’t put it down. Kelly is a great story teller and this book takes you on some interesting adventures and into matters of the

I also remember Marilyn declaring the end of "the Cross experience". That God was done applying the cross to us and done purifying us. I also recall feeling like nothing had changed and wondering what in the heck she was talking about. Was He done because He gave up?

Gary used to talk about "Utopia Chapel". The idea of one mega church where everyone would all be located. Maybe he's gunning for something like that in Brasil. Shiloh was a contender at one time, but there's not enough employment in the area. I suspect Shiloh can barely run in the black anymore.

I have a confession. I lifted that phrase "old before your time" from an old CS&N song "You Don't Have To Cry". The line was something like this: "You are living a reality I left years ago it quite nearly killed me. In the long run, it will make you cry. Make you crazy and old before your time. " If the shoe fits, wear it. : )

I'd like to point out that trying to track with the "currend word" is extremely stressful. It will drive you nuts. Churn your guts into ulcers and give you high blood pressure. And at the end of the day, you will still never measure up. Still never break thru into fulfillment and never enter the "Rest of God". The LW culture will kill you and make you "old be

None of this Vatican schmoozing surprises me. Let’s not forget that Mr. G-man wants desperately to be legitimate. He has spared no expense in the pursuit of a better reputation as a minister. Thus the hiring of PR firms and buying a page in the Who’s Who book. He’ll hob-knob with any established Christian group that can add to this appearance of legitimacy. I guess he’s trying to shed the cu

I hear that Gary received a message from the cloud of witnesses today. She said "I've got good news and bad news for you, Gary. The good news, God contacted me and said your prayers for oneness in the church have been heard. God plans to unite all the churches into a single Universal church. The bad news, He was calling from Salt Lake City." : )

Welcome Cloudwatcher. I agree with what you said. I suspect blank CDs cost less than blank cassettes and duplication is much faster. The profit margin must have improved. Plus you can hang the CDs in the garden to scare away the birds.

And then the 5-star rating got topped by the "RL" rating which stood for "Recommended Listening", as I recall. So if you wanted the top-dog tape for a given series, you'd buy the 5-star, RL tape. But I also recall seeing 2-star tapes with an RL on it too. Yikes, amazing what you remember. I'll blame it on the "Lamp Ghost".

I recall that some of these people that had been guilty of violating G&M's pure atmosphere would be put on a program of being sent to coventry. Shunned in place. I recall Marilyn saying "we've sent them to their room. They can't be with the family right now".

I can even recall hearing pastors from the pulpit talk about a person that had left the LW fellowship. The prayer/prophecy went like this "We deliver this person over to the destruction of their body, so that their spirit can be saved."

There have been some specials on TV about Charles Manson and his "family" cult. I couldn't help but think, gosh those young women that were his followers sure reminded me of the Blix girls from the 70's. Same vibe. Same blind loyality.
