cb, i'd be careful about calling it a myth that attending MKP endangerous christian souls. I happen to agree with you that it probably does not. That being said, taking an oath of secrecy in prohibited in some denominations, as are the calling of quarters. No one of us really knows then if it is a myth that their souls are engendered. I agree that you have to draw the line somewhere and no

[quote]You've hit something here that I think is important. If societal norms were working in a man's life, he shouldn't have a reason to attend MKP. Actually, I think you've hit something there. The presumption that someone attending MKP means that societal norms aren't working in a man's life. I think this is the essence of the problem with this type of educat

QuoteUnderstanding the schedule does nothing to illuminate the experience No but understanding the reasons behind the techniques used can illuminate the effects. BTW, I've done the weekend and the I-group thing. I think it can work for some people, but why does the fact that guided imagery and other techniques might be employed need to be kept secret. MKP could avoid a lot of anger and bad

Here's a brief answer to your question RU?ing. For sake of argument, let's assume their processes work. Some of the men have issues with mommy, significant other, or women in general. Part of the weekend process is expressing anger at those groups. I have heard some pretty hate-filled rants at those groups. I think men would be uncomfortable expressing that anger with women in th

BearSong Is it possible that some had a different experience than you and want a safe place to discuss that experience(similarly to your space in the I-group) or is the process so perfect that the only way someone could not have had the same experience be that there was something wrong with them, or they are fabricating? I am thrilled that you had a great experience and that the men you have s

RU?ing I know you have taken some criticism for you political comments, but personally, they have helped me start to critically analyze my own beliefs and what is going on in the US. You have also mentioned similarities between this group and the masons. Was wondering if you cared to expound on that a little. I know little of that group and was interested in what similarities you see.

This was just starting up when I left MKP and really know little about it, but for the group, in light of what we read in the news today, would any sane parent send their kids to this?

what 2 do? Definitely started looking into cults because of MKP. I couldn't understand why after such a brief involvement I felt so much fear of the men in the group and had so many recurrent thoughts/anxiety about the group. I was amazed how little information was available on the internet about this group. I stumble onto LGAT terminology about 1 year ago and then things began to clea

feldspar, how are you doing five years later. What made you want to join, and what made you leave MKP? Did you have any of the things I posted about happen to you? 5 years later still married, wonderful wife and kids, but not a day goes by I don't think about this group. I joined because my business partner kept on and on about getting me to go. Basically just wouldn't give it up
