Do they advertise this? Do they offer themselves up as qualified to deal with emotional issues that are traumatic enough that people think they need to be "healed?" Do t

QuoteJack Oskar Larm Give me a break! World peace? I'm all for it, but not by waving my hands and chanting pop songs. Why is it that Lekkies seem to be so focused on this issue of world peace when, in reality, all they cause is grief, seperation and madness? Because if they put "grief, separation and madness," on the banner, no one would sign up. They just roll up

It looks like just another "standard issue" LGAT to me. Their "basic" package is nearly $2500. According to Wikipedia: "Lifespring training, once offered under a unified corporate umbrella (from 1974 onwards), now appears in several guises delivered by differently-named companies called "centers." Some of these companies

If you have a "View" tab on your toolbar, the drop-down menu should offer to increase or decrease the size of the text. It's easy to see how these groups prey on people by offering a "family," "friends," and a social group. Have you tried something like Craigslist to see if there are any others near you who have left the cult? EZ

QuoteughaibuOkay, but for me the first question is why do people put themselves in the situation? There are no cults or abusive groups without victims. For me this is the question, why would anyone, partic

Exactly. Disabling your critical thinking skills is the first order of business in these programs. Critical thinking skills are -- guess what -- critical! And these groups and programs just don't stand up to criticism. That's why they all try to pull that plug. EZ

Every church has a strong devotion to god or who/whatever else they worship, So wouldnt every church be considered a cult? The most definitive characteristic of a cult is the abuse or exploitation of its followers. As a matter of categorization, cults should be identified by disinterested outsiders and not members or leaders. E
