Again we agree. Did you notice the last line of the article? QuoteIf you would like support in viewing a decision, give yourself the gift of time and make the "choice" to call the coach. Of course, the author just happens to be a "coach." Whether it is a simple article like this, a Forum weekend or a LGAT exercise, it ends with enrolling the student/inductee/prey into t

Quotemidonov123It is absurd to say that choice is love-based and decision is fear-based. This is simply not true. My point exactly -- absurd UNLESS you have an agenda to confuse, obfuscate, and ultimately control. If you can label (and have you noticed how consistently they label thus) rational thought as fear based, you naturally open people up to an alternative (your alternative of course),

I ran across this article on the "distinction" of choice v. decision. The language smacks of LGAT speak. The New Consciousness seems to involve the dumbing-down of ideas, inventing distinctions to serve its purposes. I am struck (but now certainly not surprised) at how often the "critical mind" is viewed as bad in these circles. The local Scientology office had somet

Quotejkms89Thanks again guys. The more I read some of the advertising, the more I'm seeing the subliminal and NLP material he is using to exploit the fact that many of us guys feel inadequate around women. And hence to sell the product. I don't know why I read any of his material in the first place. I guess I felt if I could find a way to be more self confident, I would be more a

He's got some articles on askmen.com as well. It comes across to me as essentially sales material: how to sell yourself and persuade the girls to fall all over you. In reading his stuff, it seems to me like so much of the stuff that gets written about here: small nuggets of truth get wrapped with sugary manipulative material, and voila, a new guru is born. The nuggets are just motherh

QuoteautomaticftpApparently it was not "fair" of me to decide on my own, without talking to her about it. Typical Lekkie behavior. It is not OK to make decisions without consulting them, but hey, they can make decisions without consulting you! Been there, done that. They get the mindset that you are a poor downstream boob, and live out the LGAT training style of trainee submits to

QuoteBirdSo how/why did you guys find this forum and how do you know about this? I found it by searching for "Landmark" and "cult" in a search engine. Why? Read my very first post. Like you, I had someone in my life who got involved in Landmark, was concerned because of the changes I saw, and needed to know more and understand what to do. As to how we know about this,

QuoteCognatusNoctemI felt sure that Fran Cannon of Cannon Training was my first contact with an LGAT (I didn't even know what that was). You both have helped me breathe a sigh of relief! Thanks for your support! Cognatus Noctem  :D You are welcome. YOU ARE NOT ALONE here. This is an important message that counteracts the isolationist tendencies of the LGATs. The discernment you

New dress, same pig. You nailed it Don! Good awareness and I'm glad you and your wife got out. All of this does sound familiar. The more you read here, the more you'll see the same themes. "I thought that it was something wrong in me." This is important. These groups are very good at convincing you of the lie that if you fail or hesitate, there is something wrong

I think we also get to see what Landmark is made of. Railroad companies nearly went extinct because they didn't realize until it was almost too late that they were in the transportation business, not the railroad business. At their zenith, railroads were the best of transportation, but better means came along. They could not re-invent themselves into road or air carriers, but stubbornly

QuoteSo to not be taken in by whatever it is you're reading, you might want to think about what you're reading and ask yourself who wrote it, why did they write it, and what are they saying or not saying about it or themselves. You know, read between the lines. So let's apply to them what they say others should do (another "racket" of mine): Question 1: Let's as

QuoteAlex_RushThe revolt is not crushable. If they considered it, they decided they couldn't or decided not to do so. Landmark wrote supportive words to the group. Alex, This is called "handling." Here's a link that shows the Landmark people often travel in the Money & You circles as well. Wiser Aussie's wonderful recaps here of M&Y show how similar these two groups are, thus the natural overlap of interest. The same story told in different ways makes people even more vulnerable to hand over their money time and time again, essentially for the same stuff.

From Mr. New Consciousness: QuoteFrom what I have read on their message boards, it is a breeding ground for hate of the unfamiliar, which is very simply rooted in fear. QuoteIt's worthwhile to keep in mind that in the end, the reform conversation is not about us, it's not about this group, and it's not about Landmark. Thus the proper classification of est/Landmark and the others as psychological MLMs. The product is secondary. Selling and recruitment is what it's all about. QuotenettieOh how the language of landmark goes around the real problem. It is like you cannot say the obvious; there is simply to little time to accomplish what has been said to be done.
