If they do happen to charge your card, you will still be able to get a refund it will just take some time and your ability to stay firm in your decision not to attend. A few years ago they issued an announcement to all staff that said that even though the paper work said no refund on the deposit if someone was adament that they wanted a refund, then the staff were to give it. Besides th

I don't necessarily think it is about charla mack, its more to do with distancing themselves from what happened. and any mention of charla links landmark to it. But you are right Midonov it is outrageous and it is a sign of cowardice, it shows the true nature of the company, they don't care about people, just about profits

As much as I don't like landmark, there are those who get benefits from it without it impacting them otherwise. the thing to be aware of is the fake high that starts to go but comes back when doing another course, Its how people get sucked in to keeping going.

I have read this post with amazement. I forgot how easy it is for someone to become sucked in and then start "sharing" which is the new enrolment aka get people to register without being pressurised. Landmark places the blame of any form of abuse on the the person who was abused... its a racket or a story or whatever else new word they have to tell you why its your problem not the

It is tolerated because the people who send their kids (who incidently are the only ones who know what goes on other then staff and volunteers) are so caught up in the programme. There has been no tangible proof presented by any one that this is dangerous. That is what is so scary because I firmly believe the programme is unhealthy but its so carefully kept under wraps and it lives just u

I came in here interested to see someones view on having parents who are baptists. Both my parents are baptists and there are certainly some things about them that "suck" However I don't believe them being baptist has much to do with it. That is just the way parents are. I have learnt to differentiate between my mother the baptist and my mother. There are things she doe

Nettie, I am pretty sure I am not running a racket but if I am, well I dont give a damn! You are right, completion conversations are really just like being absolved. I had one when I finished on staff. It lasted two minutes because my boss was busy, so go figure.

I had a very interesting experience yesterday during work. One of my collegues came up to my manager and myself and said "there is a woman on the phone called Judith who would like to talk to you about training" I said oh ok I don't know a judith and I don't know why she would be calling me. My boss looked confused and I am sure I did. I took the call and JUdith was giv

QuoteCan anyone tell me about registration stats? I've heard a lot about forum leaders needing good recruitment stats from their forums to keep their jobs. It's their "specific measurable result." Can anyone confirm this and possibly direct me to some evidence to show to one of my friends who's questioning? Forum leaders do have registrations as a specific measureable r

Dynamix. this is done on saturday and its designed to override your critical thinking. As adults we chose/decide by looking at the pro's/cons of the options and also by trying to think about the possible consequences. Chocolate or Vanilla is about taking about the thought process behind it. they make it sound like 'choice' is such as easy thing. chocolate or vanilla - but wh

QuoteIt is my understanding that Landmark hard sales pitch has moved to a softer more subtle but still deceptive enrollment process to "touch , move and inspire" others. Is it possible that new guidelines, policies or operating procedures will be guided by Landmark coaches to infiltrate all aspects of the clinic's operations and workers personal life? Midonov, this is not the first time I have heard of landmark being taken by and encouraged by the medical community. Here in New Zealand, alot of staff in crown health have been paid to do the landmark forum, crown health is the primary health organisation of new zealand. here is a link to the article that was written about it. I remember at the time this article came out, Landmark took a

Its just landmark gobledygook literally. She would have "created" a "possiblity" from her inauthenticity and by sharing that with you she gets to feel better. Interestingly enough, often what people share at this point hurts the other person more then if they had just kept their mouth shut!

What is scary is that alot of people become heavily involved with LGATs and train as leaders and then go on to make money from being coaches. Generally the only training they have is through the LGAT. Recently I found a couple of sites here in New Zealand for people who I know were introduction/seminar leaders for landmark and now they are touting themselves as life coaches.

QuoteThis comment brings up yet another memory for me. The lgat recruiter spent a lot of time, at a cafe, with one of my recruitees. In the end, between her sales pitch and mine, my recruitee declined to enroll. She informed me that my friend had not enrolled because *I* had not done a good enough job with him This is so very common among leadership in landmark, introduction leaders will blame

QuoteHow do the LEKKIES explain the background of their founder? Quite simply either they dont explain it because they don't know or they are taught by landmark what to say, Anyone who does the introduction leaders programme is supplied with a list of common questions and answers to learn. The reality is that most people who do the landmark forum are not aware of how landmark came abo

Alot of people go on a recruitment drive and do things that are not considered ok by world head quarters. but the other side of it is that each centre is supposed to manage it so that nohing is done to embarass or cause problems I suspect that this particular type of phone call will be only in a certain area. of course i could be wrong and its a new initiative but it doesn't sound li

Maybe I need to clarify what I meant, yes landmark do call "potentials" the people in the introduction leader programme do this as it is one of their requirements to become an introduction leader, but I have never heard of it being done as a conference call with more then one person. Yes they do have pre-written calls for this purpose but again usually it is just a normal one to on

Laura, i have to agree with mjr40, dount count on his enthusiasm waning and dont think he will wait till october, I have heard of parents flying their kids to other cities and in fact other countries to do this. I would strongly recommend you look to find a legal way of stopping him from doing this.

Quoteleftcoast8I was wondering if anyone could help me out about what kinds of rules that Landmark encourages its followers/participants to enact in their own lives. I'm also wondering wondering how they're expected to enforce any of those rules. Depending on your level of activity within landmark would depend on whether there were "rules" for your life you have to follow

QuoteSo let me get this straight. Every single participant who enrolled in Landmark - and I’m sure we’re talking at least a couple of million world-wide since Landmark's inception in 1991 - signed this waiver. And they didn’t mind signing it - these sheople just went right ahead and signed on the dotted line. I wonder, did any of them even bat an eye when they came to the part about waiving

QuoteShe was so excited about being the forum leader's "personal assistant" as she calls it. To me, it sounded like personal slavery. A corporation that makes that much money, and has that many people paying $400 for three and a half days of the seminar, and they can't afford to hire him a driver or rent him a car? Suuuure... Its disgusting that they use volunteers for this
