I attended a ACE school in the 1980's. It was a private, secluded facility run by members of an Apostolic congregation in southern Alberta. I remember vividly the cubicles, not being allowed to talk or otherwise communicate with your neighbor. Everything was regimented. Even at a grade 3 level we were required to memorize extensive portions of scripture & quote them from memory
