Like Rensil, I am not sure what happened to Mr Morrison or his family. Perhaps someone else has some intel. I must confess I am having a great laugh imagining someone being caught practicing witchcraft in a Cedars bedroom! Were there tarot cards laid out on her prayer mat? Or some unholy brew boiling over a bunsen burner? Or maybe the perp was just reading Harry Potter? What I do know, beca

Intriguing. I remember that fine ex-missionary couple and their flat. I am sure your own identity will come back to me soon too. Better stop this one-on-one for a bit lest we clutter the forum.

Hi MW89 Thank you very much for your comments. I am not sure who you are, and would be interested to know. My main passenger for several years was Susan Latham, who had awful physical disabilities. But she died young, sad to say, so unless you have risen from the dead, you can't be her! Hi blackwatch 'I suspect re the treatment of your wife, a certain other-worldly place of ete

Hi again Rainbow I've read your heartfelt comments with interest and largely sympathise. However, I might be tempted to have a slightly different take on your last point, where you write 'From what I understand the Speirses have left. Maybe not of their own will but one day I hope they will look back and thank God as they have been saved. I am glad for them'. I think you may

She was, I think, prophetically gifted and to an extraordinary degree. In fact, I know

Hello again. I may be able to say something useful here. ThePetitor's account is, as usual, measured and accurate. It was British Telecom not Scottish Gas which was being sold off. Hugh Black approached numerous members of the church in exactly the way ThePetitor describes. (He did not approach me because he knew I was dead set against privatization of public utilities.) It was an unethi

"One of the interesting things is that you (like others) were pulled up about alcohol, which is not something that is prohibited in the Bible. Gluttony on the other hand is regularly condemned in the Bible, but I have never heard of anyone in Struthers preaching about that. Wonder why that is? Any suggestions anyone? :-)" The Petitor. Plus-size Pentecostalism? :-) On the school, w

First: Struthers Memorial Church is not a cult. It is a tight church, for sure, but so is the Roman Catholic church and many others. That does not make them a cult. There are cults, but Struthers is not one of them. Doctrinally, it is orthodox. I say this to anyone still inside the church who has ventured onto this forum. Secondly: there is a lot that is mistaken, unbalanced, deluded and/or exclu
