QuoteThe original message in this thread sounds really awful! This is why I stepped away from Paganism (the semi-organized type anyway). So many Pagans and Wiccans engage in "witch wars" in which they engage in behavior that is so clearly in contrast to the beliefs and tenets of those religions. The Wiccan Rede strictly admonishes, "An' it harm none, do what ye will." Tho

QuoteoakI will be taking legal action against CH. From what I can see from earlier in this thread, a couple of women spoke to the police about CH following the start of this thread- the details of which officer they were speaking to etc were given so other women could also speak to the officer concerned, but then there has been many months of silence here about that, suggesting the police did n

Quotekath Hi I think I tried to just use 'reply' at the time and it didn't work. And started a new thread. And this time too. Check it and see if just 'reply' option works for you to stay in the same thread, or creates a new one. Maybe it's just doing it foor some people.:) Someone else had it happen here

Quotezenon. Both will create a reply in the same thread, the only difference being that "Quote This Message" will insert a quote of the message that you are replying to in your reply. To avoid excessive quoting, it might be easier to use the "Reply to This Message" function and add quotes as needed with the quote button in the editor. Hi I think I tried to just use 're

Hi I clicked in the relevant thread (Hansard thhread on the main 'cults' board) to write a reply, but unless i quoted a previious poster using the board's quoting function, it didn't post my reply to the thread, but instead started a whole new thread! Embarrassing.:) Has this changed, as I'm sure before I could just respond to threads if I was in them. P.S. I approv

QuotepemaI received an email this morning (Wed 7 Nov) from someone called Han Blan who claims that Michael Lyons aka Dr Mohan was arrested at London airport on 21 Sept. on charges of multiple rape and sexual assault. He's in the same league as Hansard -- phoney Tibetan Buddhist persona, courting high lamas etc; Also claims to be a healer. Has harem of young(ish) female acolytes. Dunno if I&#

there are several groups called that, all based (imaginatively, probably not much real connection) on an early 20th century/19th c group that has not been around for years. The most 'well known' group now is probably Hermetic order of the golden dawn, Inc. I've been following a lot of these different HOGD groups exploits on wikipedia. each group has some fanatical fans a

QuoteKepheriAnd the 135 year incarceration holds no considerable reason other then that Dr. York is considered a dangerous man to society by america. No. It means he was found guilty of being a dangerous man to dozens of little children. No offence meant but- why have you come here if you're a 'fan' and are going to swallow what he tells you despite the evidence of him being

He was convicted of multiple RICO, child molestation, and financial reporting charges and sentenced to 135 years in prison. His case was appealed to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, but that court upheld the convictions on 27 October 2005.[27] I know he's claiming it's racist or something for a court to have found him guilty, but 135 years, that's pretty conclusive to me!

QuoteFishbulb The person who set up the online petition supporting Hansard said the following: QuoteHe has proven himself oh so human, yet no less human and no more fallible than the rest of us. I have always found this sentiment to be particularly galling when applied to people who have victimized others. Precisely it's not like all humans take advantage of others sexually etc. :x

I have known someone who was very into 'psychadelic therapy' and the results were not good IMHO, and it does have potential for abuse if a therapist were to take at most only a small amount of the drug, then the 'client' is under the influence of the drug completely. Then it is could be easy for unethical 'therapists' to try it on sexually. Personally I wouldn

QuotecorboyStress can increase cortisol levels...and many LGAT set ups are reportedly very stressful. Jane Pauley's story is damned interesting because her case demonstrates how a person can have a predisposition to bipolar without knowing it. And if someone who unknowingly has such a predispostion attends a high stress pressure cooker LGAT, or goes to a very rugged part of the world

I've no doubt that darkness can be used for meditation and ritual, but:- QuoteveronicanoodleThe Kogi indians, for example, keep their shamans in darkness for 19 years before they come back to the tribe. I doubt this, seriously. For many reasons. In complete darkness? For the entire time? How would they maintain that, for a start? :)

QuoteReal-name-goneSadly I have to report that one of my clients who was at one point in the orbit of Hansard went to the police to report her experiences, the police were less than helpful in this matter. While I would encourage anyone to go to the police, (if that feels right for them) it is good to have a support system around you and either before or afterwards to talk to a counsellor or to

Not saying you are wrong, Jeff, but if you blame followers partly for their leaders' alleged actions it doesn't encourage them to question and stop following him. It just puts them on the defensive, they will feel attacked and angry at you, rather than questioning their involvement with Hansard. Any abuse usually has 'enablers' involved, but the enablers themselves have ra
