There is absolutely a lot of merit in what you are saying Traveler99! I suppose that from a psychological perspective, why is it that a lot of people fail to research the groups they choose to join? Is it because they are introduced to the group by a trusted friend and so they think an internet check is not required? Is it because reviews on internet sites lack credibility because they ar

Traveler99, the problem is that very few people go looking for a lot of information about a group when they first become interested in it. This is what happened to me. I briefly became involved with a guru and his followers and it all looked very innocent from the outside. I didn't have any prior experience with cults, wasn't aware of cult dynamics and wasn't even particular

Very strange response from Swartz to one of his "students" on his ShiningWorld website: Swartz writes: “You can’t have your cake and eat it too, Jane. It’s time to quit whining and grow up. But you don’t want to do that, because you would have to abandon shagging the exciting young counterculture guys with stiff dicks who don’t know what they want and knock about working fo

Some interesting points: Advaita Vedanta as a belief system has a strong ethical component. I mention this because someone posted on here that they were not interested being "good" but merely in being "free". As though being "good" is a little old-fashioned and restrictive. How can you ever be "free", and therefore in a constant state of "bliss"

Take a look at this clip from the official Moo web page; it's an interview with one of the workers at the Moo compound in Portugal: A young woman named 'Mukti' Ziegler has found her life's purpose in editing videos for Moo's extensive online library of gibberish. Presumably, she works for peanuts or does not get paid at all - it isn't clear from watching this.

Interesting Youtube video where Mooji admits that many of the followers of Osho (Bhagwan Rajneesh) came to sit with Mooji's own guru Papaji, after Osho died. We know from the Netflix documentary "Wild, Wild Country" exactly what Osho and his crowd were all about - money, political power and a bit of free lovin'. Now the same people are running with Moo's crowd. M

Very interesting Horowitz, on paper at least, the Moo 'charity' are claiming that Mooji Media, their trading subsidiary, only made 156,359 pounds in profit for the year 2018! That is not a lot, considering sales from their on-line gift shop, Moo's books, subscriptions to the pay-to-view online videos... (what else I don't know) However, Mooji Media claims to have 'g

Hi Grounded-Here, if you need entertainment, you could take a look at the Moo crowd's latest financials: Just click on 'documents' in the heading bar and then click on the PDF of the latest document 'December 2018'. Lots of interesting holiday reading. Tony is still listed as both a patron and an employee of the so-called charity. He receives a yearly income

Sattva (or whatever your name is), you write "Suppose James raped Heather..." Reading this line, I believe you think James is capable of rape. If you are trying to defend him, you are doing a poor job! It sounds to me like you are entertaining the thought; "My teacher might have raped someone." You claim to know him well and you claim to have benefited greatly from his teac

A comment from underneath the youtube video by Rob Juliano, written by "Francois." I have spent one month in Mooji ashram... Mooji is not a victim of his environment. Mooji is allowing all this to happen....gladly. He has a spiritual ego and has in no way realized the Self... When the Self is realized, there is no more ego and can never come back. ''"Due to the

Very interesting development yesterday in the Rob Juliano story: In one of Rob's comments (below someone else's comment) he says: 21 hours ago (edited) "I coach spiritual teachers, I'm the behind the scene guy. There's a lot more going on than what I'm saying in the video. It's a gift, and a curse. Especially when I make a video for just anyone to see.

Well, Horowitz, Rob has published his email for anyone to contact him. Drop him a line. There was this interesting comment from below Rob's video: "every time I think of Mooji I see those pictures his sangha was adding on facebook(they are never honest or truthful, they only PLAY with you, triger you, they only want to find your weaknesses and play on them. Years of games, neve

From under his Youtube video Rob Juliano has written this: "I am still grateful for Mooji's pointing... He 'was' effective at one time. He is treading on a slippery slope now, and he needs this brought to his attention. I am NOT smearing him, I SAW it with my own eyes. I have also witnessed Osho's devastation in 1984. I visited Osho's ashram and met Sheela when I

Fascinating video from Rob Juliano where he describes cult-like behavior at Moo's recent Zmar retreat. It's interesting that he has his email contact details below the video- I presume he will hear from plenty of deranged Moo supporters! Will the Moo Foundation take legal action to shut down this video? Will they round up their lawyers to silence Rob, like they silenced Henri J

Hi JanetD and everyone, I had some contact with a local Moo Sangha group when I was first became interested in Moo's teachings, before discovering that something was very 'off' about Moo, the teachings and the whole set-up in general. I never attended a meeting, but I exchanged an extensive amount private messages with someone from the group. I must say, they were always pol

Another death at the Moo Cult compound: To quote the Mooji Organisation: "Claire had an illness with a cough, and developed difficulty breathing. On Friday, an ambulance was called to her in the local village. On the way to the hospital, her condition worsened and she stopped breathing. Despite the ambulance team’s efforts to resuscitate, she passed away at 5pm on 4 October, 2019.&

Yes, zizlz, that is one possible interpretation. Because most people are not 'ready' to hear Moo's ultimate truth, then they don't become enlightened by his statement; "You are the self". "It is not enough" just to hear it. You have to 'believe' it, or 'accept' it or meditate on it or something else, entirely, I don't know an

Mooji says in the recent video: "What is the highest teaching, highest pointing? You are the one you've been seeking; you are the self. But I could not say that to people and that would be enough. It would not be enough." After watching this part, I am just confused again. Firstly, Mooji says that he has not spoken of his highest teaching. Then he does a back-flip and say

Good point Horowitz, firstly we see Moo selling his special brand of "instant enlightenment" - available to everyone, and no prior experience required. Just listen to his musings and "hey presto", you become enlightened effortlessly. Then we see Sahaja Express being promoted for a monthly fee - a series of video talks available for those who have some kind of special cal

"Every suicide is tragic and sad." I agree with this statement 100%. An esteemed psychiatrist from Harvard University, one Dr. Clark, has stated in reference to his research on cults: "the mark (recruit) is placed in a panicky, disoriented state, and an emotional crisis is manufactured by the recruiters. One response to this is that people can become psychotic." No

Thank you John Dollop. And for those of you who are interested in the psychology of Cult indoctrination, please read this very informative article from the New York Times: Dr. John G. He has treated/interviewed around 500 ex cult members. “At some point during the experience, he said, &qu

A quote from 'Chrissy' who posted on the forum in May: "There was a suicide in our Sangha in 2017, here in South Africa, by one of its dedicated members. I thought I should mention this, since I've only seen two suicides mentioned here (one in India and one at the Ashram). So yes, it has been kept very low key. As a result our Sangha was closed. We received no response

There have been 4 suicides that I know of. The first was Flo at Monte Sahaja. Then there was a report of a woman who took her own life in India, then another member of Mooji's Sangha in South Africa also took their own life. The South African group was then shut down, according to reports written here on the forum. Who shut down the group? I'm not sure. Now we have a report of a 4t

Hi Constantin, I am very saddened to hear of the latest suicide linked to the Moo Organisation. May his soul rest in peace. That makes four suicides associated with this group. Lets hope and pray that the family of the deceased ask for a full, formal inquiry into his death so as they have some answers.

Thanks John Dollop, for sharing what is really happening over there at Monte Sahaja - basically it's all human rights abuse and slavery, all dressed up in a 'spiritual' guise. I hope your friend who is still there is able to get out soon. If anyone is reading this and wants justice from the Moo Cult, please locate a Community Legal Center in your country and ask for advice.
