I would like to say, that the camp managers were extremely invasive and you could almost feel them watching you, survielling you all the time. It's very disturbing feeling, like your being targeted. And actually this was talked about by mooji also, when your there (in sahaja, or with a sangha member) for your ego, its like hiding behind a sheet of glass. he said that exact phrase all the t

It's very troubling that people in vulnerable spiritual/emotional states are being 'pressured' to stick with Moo. Surely, if their spiritual longings were calling them down a different path to Moo's, then that would also be encouraged and honored????? Otherwise, this is sounding very much like cult indoctrination! To tell people that it is somehow 'sinful' not to

oh wow, I just remembered a very creepy thing. It was the campsite managers, I don't know for sure, but it felt like they were out looking for me because I hadn't paid the whole months rent yet. It had a very strange feeling like they were becoming paranoid I wouldn't pay the 'rent' (FOR A TENT??? haha) It didn't make any sense because I had stayed there alre

I was very shocked that the boy Flo had commited suicide, not only that but on the grounds of Sahaja (from what I understand). I didn't see him there, but I remember seeing satsang video's with him in them, he had such a striking and (I thought)beautiful face. I find this very sad, he was probably just another casualty of sahaja culture, which can be very emotionally cruel. If you

Two 10-minute breaks * Half an hour for lunch Usually a seva session lasts for 4-5 hrs. depending on the work. You can choose to take the rest of the 'day off', work more, or if you live outside of sahaja, you usually leave after your done working. The only way I ended up staying there all day some days, is if I volunteered for as much seva they could give me (all day work). At

Yes, you are wise to have left, although I STILL doubt myself and sometimes find myself nostalgic for the 'mooji/sahaja' experience, it's an adrenaline rush, it's very unregulated, romantic, dramatic and spiritual. it's a seductive world when you are proclaiming you are god. I have seen many instances of emotionally inappropriate things happening there, involving moo

I was trying to remember that construction girls name it was "risha' I remember her saying fervently to me while working 'I'm getting married. Married to Our Savior god himself' the people 'working' here believe they are doing a penence or display of martyrdom in order to 'win' the enlightenment of 'god' Anyway, I just wanted to add, the

Haha, yes, I agree, mooji makes it a point to praise the young people who come there. "Look at all these beautiful beautiful beings, and always so surprising how young and they are understanding these things?" - mooji I have heard him say this in satsang The reason they are attracted, is because, when you first here about this ORIGINAL teaching of advaita vedanta, if you understan

Lots of people there are very genuine, humble and naive but also very deluded and also think that they are very enlightened and are very close to their own 'salvation', living with a living 'god'. I can't help but feeling for these honest and willing people who have devoted years of their life to him, but at the same time, some are so pure, as long as they realize th

Thankyou, sahara71, I remember your name from very start of this forum, I appreciate your welcome. Interestingly, this forum had just started up and was gaining momentum when I found it, as well as that youtube video coming out with the lady outing mooji as a fraud. I was at sahaja the same time she was, and at a silent retreat with her. Even though I had suspicions in myself, and also got all

Hi, I wrote on this forum quite a while ago in the midst of an extremely confusing time in my life, this was the only thing I had found at the time to express some of the confused emotions I was feeling about mooji/sahaja. In any case I'm glad & grateful this forum is here for people who have gone through and come out of the other side of the 'mooji' experience. I lived o

The extraterrestrial thing has come up before (on filmed satsangs) that are floating around somewhere on youtube. it was dismissed as humorous of course, but whoever comes, with whatever beliefs they have, it is bound to come out there. Yes i only heard it very vaguely but it seemed he was musing to himself (in front of the sangha at the private meeting) about "there must be people from

You get an alotted amount of water for showers and other things ect. Per day "Are you able to distinguish between free-spiritual-sex-hippieā€™s ashram/community and a false delusional cult society with worshiping of a liar-guru. And between the non-duality teaching/the true Self as a pure philosophy and regular spiritual practice like meditation on daily basis and to keep the mind focused

This is really helping me to let things come to light i have had absolutely no outlet to communicate. There was also a few private meetings while i was there where only the members of sahaja are "allowed" to attend. I ended up somehow at one of these, i think because i was doing seva that day and it was definitely off. I will just say mooji was saying a lot of very strange things

I didnt find out it was a charity organization until after i left. Theres really no way of knowing that unless youve visited the charity website. Sometimes they set up small events and community projects in allentejo. But yeah, there are some financial loopholes going on for sure? Im not sure how they can put on a retreat, finance everything that goes on there, accumulate massive amounts of

For the younger generation it is a big relief to find a group like moojis where it seems like you are not being pressured by the "worlds" expectations and can literally disown the world without drugs or some self destructive mechanism. Maybe that is a good thing? Who knows. The teaching is watch the "I" thought. If ANYONE does this, for any amount of time you will see,

People were unquestioningly at odds there, but i learned a lot just from the music, spiritial activites and the way the community interacted, and worked together, i met many genuinely kind & honest people. That part of it really changed me for the better, seeing how simple and beautiful life could be, when people are willing to cooperate with one another. but once your back to the society of

I think the fear to speak about this comes from the sense of, hey nobodys getting hurt, moojis not a bad guy kind of thing. And i have seen first hand being a good guy, so its kind of a morality issue, like dont cause problems if noones doing anything wrong. But what did i do wrong is what i want to know
