Thanks for bringing us back on topic, Corboy. Any ideas as to what is to be done about the cult's new London centre, granted by naive local government officials who clearly didn't do their research about DW and just saw the word Buddhism and thought 'great!'

Quotekaram-mudra you are right, as I told here, Emma C.´s blog does not exist anymore! . Does anyone know what happened to 'Emma C'? She hasn't posted on here since 2009 and the (now removed) blog stopped being updated some time in 2010 or 2011. I hope she didn't succumb to the Diamond Way cult's harassment and death threats. It seems that she was especially cruelly ta

Quote Anger at go-ahead for Buddhist centre Tuesday, 10 July 2012 THE biggest Tibetan Buddhist meditation centre in London will be created following planning approval – despite protests from Muslim and Christian groups. On Tuesday evening, Lambeth council’s planning committee approved the plans for the former Beaufoy Institute, in Black Prince Road, Kennington, to become the Diamond Wa

That's a common tactic used by cults to complain that anyone speaking out against them is engaging in a smear campaign. The irony being that it's often the cults themselves that are engaging in smear campaigns to try and discredit those who speak out against them.

A word of warning. Daffyd Morris, of the London Diamond Way centre, his brother Ceri Morris, who runs the cult's Reading centre along with his Polish wife Aga Moriss (an arranged marriage by the cult) have all been caught creating fake facebook profiles to try and smear former members. Facebook provided the details of the true identities of the people creating these smear profiles. The diamo

Re:Youtube takedowns. What a rediculous set of circumstances where a group has to censor it's own leader in order to maintain an image of legitamacy. You're too late, Diamond Way cult. It's been mirrored on many other sites. The cat is out the bag, just like when your secret teachings (at £10 per book) leaked onto the net.

Quotesuenam @ ~*~ k a t e ~*~ Personally I find it important to consider whether Nydahl is practicing Buddhism or some kind of pantheistic religion. I think it's perfectly clear that Ole Nydahl's racist, sexist and homophobic views are at complete odds with Buddhism. Also, real Buddhist teachers don't sexually and financially abuse their students. This needs to be made clear.

As much as this is a relative and subjective point, I don't think Nydahl's views are compatible with Buddhism. Regardless of that, I don't think this is the place to discuss Buddhist philosophy. Aren't we here to discuss Ole Nydahl's racist, sexist and homophobic views? To discuss Ole Nydahl's abuse of female followers? To discuss the Diamond Way cult's

He is very smart and he really does know what he is doing - he is building himself a devoted group and is aiming to become a rinpoche for this group (either post mortem or preferably, towards the end of his life). This can be well deduced from the steps he has taken so far. First at the beginning of 90´s after the passing of Kalu Rinpoche, he started to officialy use the title of Lama. In 1997 he

QuoteTenzin PeljorQuoteSceptic Watcher@Tony Dublin Could you provide a reliable translation of the polish article? Google Translator creates something that is readable, but far from clear. @Tenzin Peljor In one of his books, Nydahl writes about the incident, but doesn't go into details about what exactly the letter said, only that Trungpa referred to him as Rudra. Thank you. In case a

Interesting points, corboy. I wonder if the 'history' of Taakatism is a fraud aswell as the group itself? It certainly wouldn't be the first time a new religious movement has incorporated older faiths into itself or it's history in order to seem older/more legitimate. Many religions with prophets do the same thing, whilst claiming theirs is the final prophet.

I would advise against making a statement that you are leaving, no matter how private or public. This is because there is much gossiping in Diamond Way groups, and word will get around, no matter how much you may not want it to. Remember that the people in these groups tend to only be your friends as long as you are in the group. As soon as you tell them you are leaving, you may well be harassed,

Quote Any woman worldwide who has received sexual Tantra teachings from me will upon confirmation receive $1000. Is Ole Nydahl now bribing his female followers to have sex with him? His aggressive accusative tone is typical of how he always deals with any criticism. To say he doesn't take criticism well is an understatement. I guess that is the sign of any control freak cult leader su

From religion wiki : Quote Taakatism is a religion of Indian origin described as both polytheist and nontheist. Beliefs The central beliefs of Taakatists are contained within the Taakat Dharma. This consists of some basic moral codes and many debates and commentary. The deities in Taakatism are not mentioned in the Taakat Dharma, leading the above debate about categorising this religion
