QuoteStoicPerhaps the trolls are those who most need to convince others of the rightness of their position, perhaps there are more BK disruptors because the doubts are growing? I believe that to be an excellent point. In my evangelical days, I, myself, had to battle for the side I felt I was on, the preaching being for the preacher in those cases. I consider that possibility when I say, "acc

QuoteThe AnticultSo maybe the standards for posting could be raised a bit for a while, until it cools down? Otherwise, the sock-puppets may go on for months and hundreds of posts. (there is evidence to back that claim). Its not fair to those who are trying to sort out this complex Byron Katie and LGAT situation, to be messed with so obviously. That's what THIS reactionary thinks also

As I said before, the moderator is usually long-suffering. Actually, by my standards, I'd have to say 'to a fault', although I've been called a hot-reactor and a hot-head before. Hell, at the first sign of victim bashing/blaming I'd ban a poster in a heartbeat. It shows disrespect to the forum and it's rules, this thread, victims themselves and all the others affecte

QuoteChristaI'm also thinking of those pick-up guys who use similar techniques, although those poor stooges are so lame all I want to do is hand them a pair of crutches. Great imagery! That's the type of mental pictures that help to put the scamsters more in perspective, I think. That particular mental picture should be added to "How to Kick Byron Katie Out Of Your Mind/Life Fore

Stoic: Like HM2x, I am hyper-vigilant, reactionary, angry (serves me for now) and relatively new to freedom from the tyranny discussed in this thread. It has been easy to pre-judge new posts to this thread when they veer, even minutely, from the main criticisms; that, of course, is my bad. I'm still learning every day. Actually, this thread has evolved to the point where the initial quest

I am pretty sure that 'recovering' from newage mumbo-jumbo means just that. To recover from addiction, or let's just say unhelpful habits, does not one stop doing it as part of the process? In recovery from alcoholism, for example, the one looking to recover doesn't allow a little "taste" or "hair of the dog" or "homeopathical" (however minute) am

Thanks Carlos. That just reminded me of something: Steven Sashen, whose name keeps coming up on this forum, has yet another deal he's selling. He has an online book, Scriptwriting Secrets - Writing Your Million Dollar Story and claims to have created the industry-standard word processing software for film and television scriptwriters, called Scriptware. On top of that, he has created a compa

"Just the facts..." would be a Dragnet quote, and very pertinent to this thread and all the others. The 'fact' that a blog has appeared that has such a confession is unfortunate. When I was a young trouble-maker, we used to do things in that spirit. I'm glad that most of us stop acting like juvenile delinquents after our teen years. Were it not so, this whole world wo

Great points, all. I've lately wondered about the whole numbing of the masses, and the allowing of the same by an otherwise very controlling government. A lot to think about in these few posts, here. qd

Gee whiz, there must be some kind of mistake. Stever Robbins just posted elsewhere on the web that he isn't making money doing anything like that at all! Not only that, but he claims to have posted his phone number so that anyone who wants the REAL story can call him and ask him. Here's the link: Stever's claim qd

I believe we can usually count on The Anticult as the 'cool' voice of reason, even in a 'hot' forum. This time is no exception. Plainly, the typed word can be misinterpreted and we have seen it here before, on this very thread. The subject is charged with emotion and it can get personal in a heartbeat. Myself, I could easily have become a casualty (perhaps a fatality) of t

I apologize if my posts seem contradictory or disjointed. The time-lapse between my posting, regarding a given comment, post or idea, and the appearance of my posts sometimes are separated by a half a dozen new posts that I wasn't able to read when I hit the "Post Message" button. Such is the case in the last four pages, which have gotten quite hot, it appears. Perhaps I should use

I personally was wondering if RR would see something I felt I saw. He apparently did. I have been told time and again, in this forum and thread, to trust my gut feeling. My gut feeling agrees with Mr. Ross. Has it not been said right here on this thread that apologists and trolls will do anything, including agreeing with whatever is written, to gain the trust of the participants? Did not corb

I'm not familiar with Steve Salerno's book or blog, except as excerpted in this thread. It sure does sound right on the money to me, though. Thanks for checking in, Steve. At least I highly doubt that they would appear here, only to have their posts dismant

In response to Rabblerouser: The name says it all. As a Katie/Tolle apologist, I'm surprised that the name isn't like the rest of the apologist ilk--something like 'Skipping gleefully through the fields'. Maybe it's a new tactic; to wear one's intentions to this forum on one's sleeve. He/she either read this thread and have kept their mind closed (contrary to

My 'boo-boo' reference was actually a sarcastic one referring back to something ol' Stewie said about how he found himself on the path, or found Zen or whatever. (I don't really want to go back and re-read any of his bullshit to refresh my memory when he said it) It does have a slightly 'icky' feel to it though, doesn't it. Sorry for the mental picture. qd

Quotehelpme2timesWow, Steven Sashen no longer lists "The Work" or Byron Katie on his website! And there we have yet another dichotomy: Surprising, but not surprising at all. He's already been mentioned to be a very schooled internet marketer and salesperson, so I could see him thinking it was prudent to cut ties with those who could cost him business.
