Last week there was at chat at Gnosticweb where people were trying to explain why the Gnostic Movement was not a cult and to address some other concerns. The full discussion can be found at . I would like to highlight of the responses and give my reaction as it seems to be the one that is the most telling. Everyone else is basically giving the same excuses you hear over and over again in th

I would like to give another quote from Secret Knowledge, Hidden Wisdom page 203 "Those who betray or reject a Master of the White Lodge will never awaken, even if they Practice Alchemy". It is very significant that this statement is made in the section of the book were people are being told to work for the Gnostic Movement, or the third Key, Sacrifice for Humanity. Essentially thi

Hi Samael, of course you are welcome to send me a personal message. Perhaps they dislike your name because it was the same as their "define master" who they worship to a great degree. Good point about both website really being the same organization. Feel free to repost what here what they rejected.

Related to what i just posted I would like to highlight a related bit of cult speech by Mark Pritchard. After Highlighting how he doesn't want to impart believes to others he states on page 14 of Secret Knowledge, Hidden wisdom that. "If people say that a solar astral body doesn't exist or that you create an astral body with your mind, or that you create a new one every time you

I have an alternative theory for those who may have had experiences of dreaming of Samael Aun Weor, Belzebuub or anyone else that is supposed to be a master. There are many ways you can look at such experiences. The website I just posted will probably helped to. You don't have to believe that it was just a dream to reject the control of the Samael Aun Weor teachings. For starters I think

I have learned about a website that may help those who have been in the Gnostic Movement deal with things like a Kundilini experience, understanding the dangers of meditation and what not. It probably deals with all the dangers that the Gnostic Movement is well aware of but doesn't disclose to its students, this is evident in their attempts to remove themselves from the responsibility of the

Two more quotes that I think should help. Both indicate Mark Pritchards intolerance. Pg 28-29 "The so-called 'Masters' in this physical world who do not have their Master incarnated are fakes". It is a long explanation what this means but for Mark he believes the master he has incarnated in Bezlebuub. From a question and answer section page 37. Question "Hatha Yoga

Here two quotes from Mark Pritchards book secret Knowledge, Hidden Wisdom that should make you concerned. They are both from the first chapter, but it highlights my point. I don't really like reading these books anymore the obvious cult speak in them makes me sick now. page 21 contains a very manipulative and suggestive line in regards to there being many paths in life "If I or other

Thanks msanchez, your story is quite inspiring it tells me that just about anyone can leave these teachings. So you were a follower of Teófilo Bustos García, alias Lakshmi. Interesting how he picked a spiritual name of Indian origin. It is also interesting to see how varied these different Samaelean groups are. Essentially they are all spreading the same teachings but there are small diffe

Thanks Hope for the story about your Naturapath, scary stuff. I am yet to look into the LGAT stuff yet, it is really disturbing my Dad seems to be involve in one through his wife, yet I don't think I can do much about it. I can't get him to do anything or listen about anything. I read a good book a few months ago by Christ Hedges called "I don't believe in Atheists", I

That would be significant if it was a result of the John Sweeney investigation. This guy might end up being the biggest anti-Scientology person around some day if that is true. People tend to get upset when they get punished for being fanatical for their cause.

Hi Free_955 good to hear from you, Stockholm syndrome, which is a disorder that comes for some people who have been held captive where the person falls in love with their capture, is probably not the best description for what is going on here. However I do think there is something similar going on where people have love and devotion towards the person who is harming them. What you have high

I have found a pretty good source for the origins of Samael Aun weors teaching and how he was loosely linked to Arnoldo Krumm-Heller through one of his Colombian. This article also explains how Krumm-Heller was favourable to Nazi-style education during the war. This of course doesn't prove much but I think on one of the Spanish anti-Samael sites it has an article about this very matter. It w

That is great Oerlikon I particularly liked the following line. It seems when cults are unsuccessful with one type of worldview or logic they use another. Denial doesn't work when someone shows you direct evidence so he resorted to say it was a confidential matter. How can a private matter be written in a book that is published and sold to the public? This is an interesting yet disturbing as

I was watching it a few weeks ago and it says now that it was removed by the user. I am glad I copied it when I did. I think it speaks for itself about how abusive Mark can be and how indoctrinated his students and teac

Anyone heard about Robert Bruce? The only reason I ask is that he has an advertisement on the front page for Q Link which I guess is just some product that they both endorse. Robert Bruce, Like Timothy Freke appears to be a safe spiritual teacher but I wonder about the degree to which they have had associations to Ken Wilber. My feeling so far is that they are both ok, this is business for th

I think I found the current form of Gnosis-sos.org. The wolf with the sheep over it is quite good and telling. Translated I haven't read enough to figure out why the first site went down, but I am sure the answer is there somewhere. I think the amount of Spanish speaking people now dealing with the problems of the Samael Aun Weor teachings is a pretty good indicator of what a

Hi everyone I just I thought should write on a matter that has come to mind from time to time. I hope it will help others who may still be in the Gnostic Movement to think about this. It is obvious by the way the organization works, its heavy handy discipline against trouble makers and its complete inability to reform that there are more ex students then current students. The teachings really me

Thanks for your thoughts Sparky, I think I knew what I was suggesting was unreasonable when I wrote it, but I think it is a good thing to think about. The condition of the individual as well as the community they come from is quite an significant factor in how people get sucked into cults. I was also inspired by Anonymous vs. Scientology which I see as mostly being the community (in several pl

I wanted to thank Corboy for his post with the article on the Matrix. My perspective on this now is that we really need to have our critical thinking intact when we are taking in pop culture, particularly when it deals with big philosophical matters. I can now see many problems with the worldview that can be taken away from the Matrix and some forms of thinking that I accepted. It seems to be

I have just read the book by Timothy Freke called Lucid Living. For me it was a really good alternative perspective on awareness in comparison to the teachings of Mark Pritchard. He takes a very imclusve approach to spirituality and is decidedly anti fanatic. Most of his books are about history but this book is clearly philosophy and spirituality.

Thanks for this helpme2times I have wondered about Ken Wilber since I heard about him a few months ago. Some of his stuff seems to be ok, of course it is based on other peoples work but there is nothing wrong with that. What did make me concerned about him was the way he went about his work. I watched a youtube video of him and it was rather disturbing, generally he is talking about a message
