Hi Judy, My first degree was in Psychology and I had the privilege of studying with one of the top "sceptics" here in the UK. Studying "Pseudoscience" gave me an appreciation of how easy it is for the "fantasy prone" to attribute various happenings to supernatural causes when in fact most are easily explainable in terms of mainstream science. However I have

I met this bunch at a natural healing show in Clapham in about 1998, at the time they were called the Chun Do Sun Bup Ki Energy Institute I have had a long interest in oriental healing systems and Chi Kung so I decided to have a Ki treatment (Chun soo) with the senior master at the show. This was quite full on with the "hissing" and prodding. An hour or so later I felt absolutely f

I am very sad to hear the various reports of abuse in this thread and also the seeming lack of progress in bringing these matters effectively to justice. It sounds like the correct authorities have been informed. The problem indeed seems to be evedential as many of these alleged incidents occured behind closed doors. It would seem that based on what has been said here, that IF true, and it

Thanks Dorje for your comments. I think I know exactly who you mean. And if that individual rejected CH as a fraud then that pretty much answers my question. All the best S.

I am genuinely interested as to what conditions create a person like CH whether psychological or otherwise. I take it perhaps that you possibly don't believe in p

Ah thanks Elizabeth, Thats very interesting. Many energetic practices are very beneficial if they are done correctly, however if they are done wrong or without proper instruction or preparation then they can lead to physical and psychic damage and mental instability. There are types of Kundalini practice in the yogic traditions and "fire" techniques in the neo-Taoist traditio

Hi, Thanks to Elizabeth and Lorenzetti for your comments. What I am interested in, more specifically is if he trained in internal martial arts in NZ. Who specifically did he train with? Whether Chinese, Tibetan or anything else. If its not known thats fine. I am just curious. Also if anyone has genuinely trained in any Tibetan martial art and has genuine professional knowledge of this area

There are four possibilities. Firstly he can see demons and spirits. Whether that fits in to your belief structure or not. Many believe that this is possible across many religions. Secondly he is claiming to see demons and spirits as a straight deception. Thirdly, He is ill. Hallucinations are a charecteristic of many organic and non-organic psychosis. (Schizophrenia for example) Four

I met Christopher Hansard a couple of times. I found he had a strange brooding intensity. He seemed to me, very arrogant with a massive ego. I was quite shocked at how confrontational and rude he was. Then when he had established that I was not a threat to hs authority and knowledge, he switched and was completely charming! I walked away not really knowing what to think. I cant comment about t
