These yoga methods were (as research on several gurus shows) throughout Hawaii so he could easily make the claim of seasoned traveller of the spiritual realms - hatha yoga, raja yoga, kriya yoga, Nidra yoga, kundalini. He mentions meeting various Swami's and zennists. According to Sai speaks he wrote Si

After some consideration, I've decided to share some things about Doreen Virtue that I experienced, for the most part, directly. Here goes... I became a Certified Spiritual Counselor (aka "CSC") upon completing just three weekends of training with Doreen Virtue in the late 1990's. To say that the training was superficial is an understatement. Interestingly, after

The book OUTRAGEOUS BETRAYAL is an excellent book, and a quick read. Everyone should get a copy from the library, or buy a copy and read it. It contains all sorts of information about Jack Rosenberg, Werner Erhard, and LGAT cults in general. Its all there, the wife-beating, child-abuse and child-beating, Werner Erhard's own daughter accusing him of sexual abuse, Erhard claiming he is o

The first time that I ever heard about Sai Baba was when I was taking a Bhakti course at a disciple's home in Brisbane. The disciple Gayatri said that Baba was a dangerous mystic. When pressed as to whether such powers as he claimed did actually exist she said that Siddha had instructed that they do but that they are not spiritual. She told a story that a follower in Hawaii had encounte

Quotezelig The following is an interesting tidbit that parallels Siddha. It should be familiar. Siddha was very critical of this guru. Takes one to know one. ”From the beginning of his Mission, SSB has often stated that he has a human body, which is subject to human suffering. He has also made contradictory statements of superhuman capabilities and, as alleged Omnipotent Avatar , he ha

Check out the thread called Article by former New Age Teacher. I certainly do not agree with everything written, but it is an interesting discussion, and some very fine points are brought up. QuotecultreporterAnti Cult, I think that you should refrain from making sweeping generalisations. I posted a lot of information from skeptics sources which criticise Randi. . I think exercising critical thinking about everything is great, of course including James Randi. That's what James Randi WANTS you to do, he does NOT want you to "believe" what he says. He wants people to t

I was much more secure in my faith before I had any involvement at all with taking on a spiritual master. I have now done my time in Science of Identity and associated with devotees and read teachings of three branches of KC and can hardly bring myself to delve into the world of Sai Baba who claims to be Krishna. On this site is some very strange and rather unique articles including Illuminati

There are often members of groups called "cults" that remain loyal no matter what facts are exposed. Nothing new here. Jim Jones and David Koresh both had people so enthralled they followed these psychopaths literally to death. See And also Shoko Asahara, the madman and cult leader that gassed Tokyo's subway system, though behind bars and sentenced to death--still

Yes, I'm aware of all of that. But, unless you were there and have personal knowledge of the matter, you're relying on the reports of others. So am I. We have no way of knowing what actually happened. My point is that it's the teachings that matter. Look into that, rather than allegations we cannot prove. Sai Baba has had a following numbering in the millions around the world

If you read the reports several of those making allegations regarding Sai Baba are those that were once at an ashram or activity with the guru and who claim that he sexually molested them. I'm aware of the allegations and of the effect they had on many of Sai Baba's devotees. Nothing was proven, and the allegations did not diminish the power of his teachings. The vitriol directed at Sai Baba by his former devotees, most of whom had no personal experience with him and no way of knowing whether the allegations were true, has been interesting to observe. Of the dozens

There's been some discussion here about Hirindra Singh and Sai Baba in which both were criticized. I've known Hirindra for several years and have found him to be strongly devoted to the cause of peace and legitimate in his work. Sai Baba has been my greatest teacher. Overcome the liar by truth – the Buddha QuoteDoes a true master go around claiming enlightenment? Good question. Jesus did. "I am the light and the way", "no man may come to the Father except through me" seems also to fit the bill, doesnt it? No. Again, please do not set up a straw man. There are eight criteria of NPD. Let me put this into perspective. Chris Butler and his group is kindergarten compared to other cults - Sai Baba, Maharishi, Bhagwan, etc. Even with western gurus like Moon, Hubbard, etc. These gurus are multi-millionaires. Chris' excesses is nothing compared to them. But Chris is phony just the same, and his problem is he preaches austerity and he's supposedly Christ-like, that's w

I fail to see any difference in this sense between Butler and other gurus. To name a few, how about Bagwan Sri Rasneesh, Sai Baba, Gourasana, or Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche? All of these people were able to be themselves, "warts and all", as you so colorfully state, and get away with it. It's an intrinsic part of the guru game. Butler seems very commonplace to me. The gurus ab

In their doctrine, the guru and the Supreme Being are inseparable and loved as one. I fail to see any difference in this sense between Butler and other gurus. To name a few, how about Bagwan Sri Rasneesh, Sai Baba
