There is hope that people will do a little research before signing up for PSI. I think it's great that people can find this thread and hopefully get a sense of how negative PSI can be. Just say no to PSI. Just say no to Landmark. Please don't get involved in any type of LGAT. They don't deliver what they sell!

Deborah, I wish I had some good advice for you other than don't go to the basic. I really don't know if there is any way for you to hold onto your husband. If he has put PSI first in his life then he is pretty brainwashed. WHen my husband did pld he told me that "family first" was a huge commitment for anyone playing that game. You might try reminding your husband

For some reason my husband and I started talking about this incident just the other day. I can't remember why it came up. It's been a long time and I still feel so angry about it. I still want everyone to know that their wives and daughters and sons and husbands are not safe going to one of these seminars. I saw that this thread has been viewed over 4000 times. That's not eno

My neighbor has a bumper sticker that reads.... " Teach Ayn Rand". The first time my Husband saw this he laughed and said....Teach her what, she already knows everything.

.......Whenever i talk to her about anything she thinks I'm being negative. for example........ and before you know it it was 10pm. my wife walks up to me with her gym clothes on and informs me that she is going to work out. I get irritated ...... Hey Tom, It took my husband and I almost a year before we were back to "normal". The program uses indoctrination to implant the P

Hello smh, One thing that all LGATs have in common is that they will tell you they are nothing like all the others. They lie. You will find more than enough information on LGAT programs at this site and the links it provides. In my opinion they are all dangerous and I would never recommend them to anyone under any circumstances. Take care of yourself, survivor

Do you know who her new best friend is? If it is one of the other participants it is probably good for her to talk with the person. Often the anti climax of coming home is huge and it may help her to hear that her friends are feeling it too. If it is a facilitator or staff person be very concerned. I found the paid staff to be the most unethical and manipulative people I've ever

Hi Vamvouris, It is not unusual for people to come away from these seminars on an emotional high. At the end of PSI7 one of the parting instructions is that you are not to make any major decisions for at least 1 month from the end of the seminar. You may want to remind your wife of that. The best advice I can give is to be very loving and listen to your wife. Ask her about what she wa

Hey Oz, I have really enjoyed reading your posts and I am sad to hear that you won't be around. It is good for all of us to move on sometimes and it sounds like you are trying to move in a positive direction. Best of luck to you. I hope you'll think about stopping in once and a while to add your thoughts to the mix. You have had some very valuable insights in my opinion. I

Hi Smartypants, I'm really sorry that you are having the problems you are with PSI. It is a dangerous organization to be involved with. Have you read the thread on the FACTNET message board forums titled "Is PSI Seminars dangerous?" It has some interesting information about their class called PLD. It sounds like someone who is on a PLD team is after you. I wish there w

I confronted my manager about bringing the ET affirmation cards to work. I told her that I wasn't trying to attack her personally. That I just needed to let her know how much it bothered me and ask her to not do it again. We had a brief discussion about how no religious material should be in our meetings. survivor

The group I experienced was with Katie Davis. The guy sitting up front with her was I believe Sundance Burke. He didn't say much when I was there. Both of these people have websites up and claim to be enlightened. They claim that Tolle agrees they are enlightened. They exist in a state of "presence". Isn't it interesting how they have taken the word "presence&qu

About a year ago when I was still struggling with my PSI Seminars involvment another PSI person suggested reading Eckhart Tolle's book. I read the book a couple of times and bought the tapes as well. I listened to them several times. I found a local group that the leader of claimed to be not only enlightened, but that ET himself had ackknoweleged her enlightenment. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

QM, I did not do Landmark. The LGAT I got involved with was PSI Seminars. The landmark people will say with tremendous energy that PSI Seminars and Landmark are nothing the same. In my opinion they are lying and they know they are lying. I believe that all LGATs function in a very similar manner. You can find a wealth of information about the basic structure of these programs and h

There is a post by Corboy titled "methods of hypnosis". I really recommend that you read it. LGAT seminars can really mess with your head. I think it must be common practice for them to encourage people to threaten their partners with leaving cause that is how my husband got me to go. Don't fall for it.

It has been 21 months since I first became involved with PSI Seminars. I have some doubts that I have recovered. I still feel so much anger and hatred towards the people who run that crapfest. It disturbs me to feel so much hatred and anger. I see myself as a loving, giving and compassionate person yet, I just can't forgive them. PSI seminars needs to be stopped. I need to warn peopl

Hi Savernake, I just got done reading your other two recent posts as well. I sense your anger at your friends attempt to enroll you in landmark as well as your irritation at your folks for their apparently poorly thought out beliefs. I do understand the frustration of trying to communicate with people who respond with slogans and cliches. I hope that you keep your resolve and don't g

I talked to my brother recently and he told me a story from about 25 years ago. He was 16 and answered one of these ads to sell stuff. He said they had him all excited about the fun and money making potential so he signed on. Then they got him hundreds of miles from home before they told him about the commission, sleeping arrangements etc. He put up a fuss and they just dumped him. Left him

There is an initial high people feel. The people you meet seem to be your new friends, but the high wears off. The LGAT experience is not enough common ground to have a lasting friendship or lasting success. It can be a real let down. Some people continue to work it by staffing and volunteering. Some of those people are very strange and you can't talk to them because all you get back a

I have seen the Penn and Teller Bullshit show on "human potential seminars" It was very funny, but they focused on the gimmicks of firewalking, walking on broken glass, and bending rebar with your neck. I don't think they did a very good job of debunking the human potential seminar racket. I went out to the website for "What the Bleep do we know". It looks pretty

Thanks for the input. It is so frustrating. I know that these groups are harmful to people, but there are so many of them and so many people who are looking for someone else to just tell them the answer. People seem to believe that there is an answer out there somewhere that someone can give them. The willingness to be led combined with the coercive persuasion techniques that LGATS are so
