If what you say is true, it sounds as if you should be calling the police - although unless an offence has been commited, it may be hard to get them to do anything. In the UK I would think that social services would prohibit a child being placed in such an environment (although I am speaking without any legal knowledge - we live in a strange world of political correctness where it seems any be

Yes, I have been away for a very good reason. You call me an apologist. I just think we have different opinions. It's okay though, I'll let you off. :-) PS There is nothing troll like about me - apart from my feet.

I didn't disappear. I just decided there was no point posting any more since no one was interested in listening. I didn't have any project or agenda. It's sad that you see lies everywhere. For me, posting here was never about "winning" and domination - unlike your good self. It was about balance and discussion. I shan't post here again. I'll leave you t

I'm not sure that anyone here is genuinely interested in hearing what I have to say. There seems to be a general concensus among the people that post here that LE is evil, it's hypnotic and about mind control. Everything I say is thrown back at me and refuted, even though it's my experience. You all have your point of view about LE, which is fine. I think it's wrong, but th

I can't comment on anything other than Landmark as I've no experience of other systems. Any system that forces people do things against their will isn't a good thing. For those who are interested This pro-Landmark site contains testimony from psychiatrists, clinical and education psychologists, and all kinds of clergy. They are of the opinion that Landmark isn’t a cult –

With regards to evidence and the law: It seems difficult to find ground that we can all agree on. A court of law seems like a reasonable place to find impartiality. As regards to evidence, I hear lots of people saying they think Landmark is garbage (which is a fair enough point of view if that's their experience), but I haven't seen any convincing evidence that hypnosis or mind c

I can see that rational discussion is not something that appears here as an option. We can bat this argument back and forth all year. Perhaps you can look at what you're getting out of killing me off - a total stranger - labelling me. You have no experience of my life, what I do or what I'm like - yet, because I disagree with your dogma, I am somehow brainwashed and my opinion is wor

I have not made any attempt to convince anyone to do Landmark. All I've done is told people what my experience has been, in the interests of some kind of balance. I have not made any attempt to disregard or belittle the experiences of those who claim to have been damaged by Landmark. As I've said before, if my experience of Landmark was based solely upon what I've read on thi

I take it that you are referring primarily to me. I am not an employee of Landmark. No one has put me up to voicing my views. I'm freely expressing my own opinions - which I make no claim to be the ultimate and final truth - I am just sharing with people what I got out of particpating in Landmark. I think in the interests of fairness and balance this is only right. Your posts remind

This is the third post of mine now that has been rebutted by the same stock answer. I am in danger of becoming like the rrmoderator, replying with a stock comeback of my own. How many people have done the landmark forum - ever? How many complaints and lawsuits have there been?

Landmark does not ask anyone to accept responsibility for crimes commited against them - for example, if a child was sexually absued, if a woman was raped, if someone had a drug addicted sibling, they are not told they are responsible for that. What people are encouraged to do is to accept responsibility for what they made those events mean and how they have let them affect their lives. For

No employee should feel pressure to do something they don't want to - so if you feel pressured, rather than complain about it here, you should talk to the people who can do something about it - your employers. I checked out the website and their philosophy seems pretty cool to me - but then I feel that Landmark has been of a benefit to me personally so I am in-line with their 'can do

Perhaps you could enlighten us to why your friend is considering divorcing her partner of 20 years - it's a little hard to offer any kind of constructive help without knowing more about their situation. Plenty of people get divorced without ever having heard of Landmark so it seems a little rough to blame the technology - although I can see how you see it. She goes to Landmark, she changes f

I don't know anything about the law, but I would think it safe to assume that hypnotising people against their will would be illegal - certainly unethical. If it could be proved that Landmark was hypnotising people against their will, I would recommend that they sue the company. I have not experienced any hypnotism (but then I would say that wouldn't I?). This, to me, sounds like

Thanks for the opinions, but I haven't lied about anything that I've said. You can either accept that, or not. All I've done is genuinely talked about my experiences. Your experiences of Landmark may be different. The Landmark you talk about isn't the one I know. You can call me brainwashed, deluded, or whatever you like - I can't do anything about that. I've heard about all the est stuff, but never met anyone that's done it. Certainly, from what I've heard people say about it, it certainly seems brutal. The concept that we are 100% responsible for what goes on in our lives is certainly one that's taught at landmark today. However, I have not heard anyone say that a person is responsible for their illnesses, tragedies etc.

My son (really my stepson, aged 12) wanted to do the Forum for Young People. We signed him because he could see a lot of benefit in it for himself. I believe the kids forum is shorter than the adults' because kids get it quicker - they're not filled up with the cynicism, stories and rackets that grown ups are. The content is probably very similar but the delivery is quicker. I can'

Your friend's desire to share something that he really enjoys, or thinks may benefit you, may be constrewd as pressure. It's like going to see a really good film. What do you do? You go and tell all your friends about it. If you think your friend is pressuring you, or you are feeling pressured, let him know - clearly and politely. The only way you'll find out if Landmark is f

I live in London and first came into contact with the work of Landmark education about four years ago. My (then) girlfriend did it and I was happy for her to do it, though I didn't think it was for me. I went to a couple of introductions and thought it was all a bit weird, a bit culty and felt pressured. If I was reading about Landmark for the first time on this board I would definitely
