It can be difficult to behave decently online. Taking joy in other people's suffering is not a good idea. To wish that people get free from suffering is a basic buddhist idea and i think its a good idea. Unfortunately i dont find a button to block.

What he said he could only say to this hypnotized group. In a discussion on TV (with experts in history, psychology etc) it would have become clear what he is: a chatterbox and an ignoramus. All crap has been refined because "the lama said...", and if you don't like that, you don't have a pure view. This distortion of "pure vision" is at the heart of how thi

Interesting article .... Nydahl’s mixing of personal habitus and teachings has led to the Diamond Way being termed “life-style Buddhism.” Further, Diamond Way criticism has focused on the extent hedonism evidenced by the enjoyment and propagation of high-adrenalin sports such as motorcycling, bungee-jumping and sky diving; and on the prevalent militaristic appearances, right-wing political vi

The further context of the text was related to my post above: I had analyzed my own karma - and I thought I had bad karma because I ended up in such an absurd group. Before that I always thought - over years - I had to learn something, just understand the group better , seeing through my blindness etc... total brain constructions without loving healing. Then I realized: after all these years

I see the text in the context of deprogramming. In the group, every second sentence contains the words O.N. or karma. Very poor communication. One constantly receives an analysis of karma without being asked. Improving karma is seen as a key ingredient to working in the group and giving money. Everyone acts up with their analysis of karma as if they had the perspective full of wisdom. W

Thank you 7 of 108 for your words. A little bit more about karma. There is karma and it is very complicated. It's good to know that it exists, but constantly analyzing every situation is completely stupid and confusing. It is a secondary matter for everyday life, in everyday life the paramitas are central. And interesting the O.N. again a minor matter preaches as central...that

Thank you 7 of 108 and Kawa Lhundrub for your replies. They are very interesting. And yes, therapy is very important afterwards. I got help too. Sometimes I thought how bad karma I have that I ended up in such a confused absurd sangha. I got totally confused by the silly gossip and bullying. I had strong s.ui.ci.d.al thoughts several times. Have heard of two people who committed su.i.c.i.d

I have a few questions that bother me: Was Karmapa asked if O.N. now conveys "crazy wisdom" or if he is simply seriously ill. ? Is the future of the group only discussed in secret? What does "free speech" mean if you don't dare to address the taboos because you are immediately bullied? There is an interesting train of thought: "Truth is not afraid of questi

On the Karmapa page in FB there are many photos of the Karmapa in the EC. There are some with full Gompa when Karmapa answered questions. Also some conversations with smaller groups. Does anyone have a transcript of these questions and answers? What will change in the future? I suspect that there will be many big conflicts because people haven't learned to speak openly and suppressed anger

Because of your question about the meditations, I would like to add: It is good if someone in Dagpo or Karmapa revise the meditation booklets. What I think about the peace of the great teachers: they have a different body awareness from childhood, they are rooted in their bodies in a very different way. And they take the instructions for proper speech seriously. What strikes me in the boo

What you write makes a lot of sense: this addiction to hormones of connection and joy. That's why this joy is always emphasized convulsively. And if O.N. is there, everyone is transformed and in a trance. The contrast with the peace/stillness of the great masters is truly remarkable... I will think about your lines for a long time, they are really clarifying. Your question about the med

Thanks for your lines. Very interesting that you call them "zombies", I also call them "spiritual zombies" in my diary. Also interesting that you noticed how your nervous system was on alert... it took me years to notice that. In this group hynosis full of hypocrisy, lies, manipulations and simple fakes, it is difficult to keep in touch with oneself... it is better to di

In Germany there is a well-known trauma therapist, Verena Koenig. In a newsletter a few weeks ago, she talked about an encounter and her thoughts on it. I too have often noticed how cold the Kagyu people are. How they like to talk about compassion, etc., but are strangely cold, scoff at non-Kagyu or talk about wars or executions of people of other faiths with a lot of laughter. Everything is all
