What has puzzled about me about this saga with James, is the what, why and how, of what has gone on. I’ve not been able to makes sense of the overriding issues or of the discrepancies and contradictions between someone who has invested his entire life to teaching Vedanta, and yet who has this dark side. Does the fault lie in what he is teaching? Have I been in a cult? Was the entire path o

And for the sake of clarity and correctness - those extracts I posted were not the entire emails. I’ve copied the relevant parts, not to hide anything - but because it’s not necessary to bore anyone else with it. If James chooses to publish the entirety of our correspondence, he’s welcome to do so. And he can name me if he wishes to.

In February last year, this was James writing to me.... 14/02/2020 Hi xxxxxx, I really love your emails.  They are so truthful.  I found this one very interesting.  It's definitely Vedanta related.  I don't think it's a coincidence that the clarity of your insight into the nature of your mind is due to your dedication to self inquiry.  This objectivity shows that you have

Here are the last two emails I received from James. The first was sent in October 2020, and the second was sent in November 2020 October 2020 - from James, after a Facebook post, where I discovered James had shared the emails I’d sent him, to Shiningworld. I had no knowledge, prior to that, that James would, or had done so. He never mentioned it to me - which he could have done. (Informed con

I’ve been following these posts the past week, with as much shock and horror as I would imagine most people are. It’s not a positive thing - to be hearing it all, but I think it’s necessary. I can’t imagine what purpose it may serve or achieve, but I can report on how it has impacted me. I’d like to do that, for X’s sake mostly. I’d like X to know, that by sharing their story, my story has bee

QuoteThe Spare Denial and projection. you can never know if and when it will catch you out. Hence the saying, " Constant vigilance is the price of freedom". James would say " until it isn`t " and that`s his problem in a nutshell. He thinks he is perfect. why do they both have anger issues, I wonder ? You nailed it! Thank you! You’ve given me the missing piece of the puzz

What I was trying to say was - how and why does James get to attack and discredit “The Spare”, or anyone else, over party politics or finances of their past or their mental health etc, when he himself ticks all of the same boxes. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Not to James. So what does that say? And how does that reflect on the message he’s teaching?

I’ll respond to these posts as a simple person, and as a mere observer. I have no vested interest in who is “right” or “wrong” about the politics. I despise Trump and all he appears to represent - because of the way he treats people publicly. I care not an iota about American politics, or in fact any countries politics. For whatever reason - I’m indifferent to it as I see it as outside of my pers

Gooooooood LORD!!!!! As I read the first post, it resonated. I felt warm and tender that they “saw you.” (even within the flattery and the coochie-coo bits) :) The contrast of the second post, is RADICAL. Whaaaaaaat? Never mind how adhamric it is, how can the left hand not know what the right hand was doing?? There’s a saying that talks of: “speaking out of both sides of one’s m

Earthquake It’s unfortunate that posts can’t be deleted yes. I double-posted my previous response to The Spare, but can’t get rid of the first one. And yours sounded - “unusual” - too :) —————————————————————————————————————————— Yes to what you say about the vasana/ guna / karma yoga teaching being dualistic and a trap - to anyone who has seen the freedom of the Self. Exactly that.

The Spare No problem, and any time. Corboy’s post must have overlapped with mine, in terms of timing. I hadn’t seen his suggestion - which clearly worked well. It’s a pity that posts can’t be deleted on here, but I suppose there’s a reason why. As for what you’ve posted - my oh my....quite a dog’s breakfast, in my view. I never really warmed to Sundari, but I don’t know her as such

I don’t see anything in the above post by the character Allowance, that really addresses the facts which many people who’ve participated on this thread (besides Traveller and Earthquake) have raised, regarding the various ways in which James has behaved objectionably, and contrary to dharma. Whatever the rules of the forum itself may be, that is something to take up with the owners of the fo

I see that reply is better than just posting. I posted above, but you may not see it as your post is so long. I’ve only just seen that you’ve had a tragedy in your family. Sorry to hear that. Wise not to be putting energy into this pointless debate here.

@Earthquake I’m having a quiet morning and have just received an unexpected newsletter from Sundari land in my inbox. I was reminded of this forum. I came to have a quick look and lo and behold, there’s been more happening! I couldn’t wade through it all. But something stood out to me as a I browsed the latest reams and reams of posts. What I’m wondering is: If this person calling

It’s now Sundari’s turn to write fake letters to try to create some version of themselves, that aims to paint some warped version of the truth. Wow.....how twisted can it get? My suspicion is that this ex teacher knows enough about their under-handed dealings, that Sundari is aiming to do “damage control” in anticipation of the forthcoming scandal that could take place if the truth about them,

It’s quite ironic to see that James is in the habit of posting a fake “satsang” (a fake email exchange with someone singing James praises, is hardly a satsang)every time someone writes about him on here. He’s clearly glued to the unfolding stories here. And to then twist the posts here, into a subverted version of praise of him, James the man, into “praise of god” - couldn’t be more Trump-

Well, well, well, well... Not only is James on the warpath on Shiningworld, but Sundari has taken to it as well. The person she writes about is absolutely not what she’s saying. I’m gob-smacked that she/they would stoop to this level of smear-campaign. It’s so unbecoming and incongruous with what I thought they stood for (although I have had very little to do with Sundari, so have littl

So what’s it to you then, RV, if someone totally unknown and unrelated to you, happens to have had private interactions with women? I’ve had a fair few unsolicited dick pics sent to me in my time - and it’s hardly anything to call the police over. And what’s it to you anyway? If you’re not directly involved, mind your own business. Can’t James deal with his affairs himself (such as they a

This Rama Vasistha person sounds to be James himself. I can’t think of one other person who would take this up, or have this much interest in the whole drama. Why disguise who one is, in this way, I wonder (by speaking in the third person.)

Thanks for those clarifications Earthquake. I won’t say all that it tells me and how it reassures me, but there are a number of things in what you’ve said, that clear up sticking points I’ve always had, listening to James teach. Some things just didn’t add up, and I didn’t know why. Now I do.
