OK, you asked for evidence. I can give evidence. Check out the samadhi of Paramahansa Ramarkishna, and paramahansa Yogananda, for textual and witness based evidence for physiological death. ONce you have done this, please report back.

Absolutely wrong. I came here to hear you explain how concentration on God can make people's bodies die physiologically. I didn't come here to argue with you sir. Again, please explain how a relaxed focus of concentration on something can produce death of the body. I am not interested in your theories of trance. Is that clear? No, i am not arguing with you. I just don

You said:- "I don't see anything incredible about the mystics you cite and no scientific evidence to support your claims." So clearly you are not interested in anecdotes. But can you explain what scientific evidence is please? I don't EVEN know what that IS. I see something incredible about the mystics i cited. I see that they breathing and heart beat are absent an

i am sorry to say this but you didn't really answer my question about how concentrating on God can lead to states of respiratory and heart failure. I know you are trying to prove that hypnotic states seem to characterise a lot of different states of humans and some can be right and wrong, and so on.... but i don't see how you have proved that focussing the mind can lead to physiologi

Pain reduction, dissociation and highly suggestibility accounts for a state of physiological death? How?

Okay Rick, but how do you explain how concentrating your mind on God can lead to states of respiratory and heart rate decrease to such an extent that the person is virtually dead? Does hypnosis lead to such a thing? And if it does, explain how that is possible physiologically. And what the connections between hypnosis and physiological death are in morbid states of being.

rrmoderator, are you Rick Ross? Ok, so you are convinced that it is a hypnotic state. That was what i thought too. I simply just don't understand how it can be possible to be consciously aware and not thinking. But Rick, i have some questions for you. I have seen postings about Amma, the hugging saint, on this website. You are probably not aware that there are a series of books t

Oh, probably something along the lines of, "yes there is a thoughtless state. It is the gap between thoughts." with a bunch of reasons how such a thing can exist. I happen to believe there is a thoughtless state. It is called deep sleep. But meditation producing a state of non-thinking? No way. Daydreaming is not thought-free. If someone believes they are not thinking they have

Hello there. To be honest i wasn't much as interested in Walsch as what "God" had to say. It took a while but eventually with time the contradictions and faults in the text appeared to show that "God" was probably not writing this book! hahaha One thing that i always noticed was how "God" would said there is no right or wrong and then later in the text &q

I am copying here a post made by "moviestar" on the stevepavlina webforum because it saves me time trying to writ it all out myself. I apologise if this could be considered plagiarism but i am sure the author of the piece would not object to me placing it here. "All eastern philosophies talk about a thoughtless state. They tell you that you are somehow separated from your tho
