Its very encouraging that FACT posted an expose, now others have some more information to consider and reflect on. I agree that people were pulled into the group through consultations, meetings after class and through friends already in the group. Corboy, from my own experience and research - this gives detail of the requirements people were following in the group or as they were entering

I haven't been on this site for a long time but want to say I am certainly not the same person as phoenix or nowthewiser. I have not been masquerading as different people. LB, as you say you met Uma 3 years ago, I think perhaps you were around Uma and the group at a later time, or not close enough to Uma and the the group to see or be privy to the experiences being described by others, w

On her website, www.umaa.info she has written the following... context --> about --> 'pinch of salt' , I think there are so many strange things here… Talk of not “corrupting another’s” (truth). This was always happening! From what I saw, as Uma was seen as “truth”, she would over ride people into believing she was the truth and all knowing. belief you could only get a clear tru

corboy you say "distortion of gratitude". this was a really interesting thing which i think was used by uma and then by default the group, people weirdly ended up sounding like uma! the idea of "gratitude", taking "gratitude" and using its concept of power to subtly control people. everyone wants to be seen as grateful, thankful. i felt that "stay in the gra

No her intro / yoga classes were not like that, from what I saw things got more complicated when you went deeper and spent more time with her and the group, especially long periods of time, on a longer private training or on the forums. They also hung out in cafes for long periods of times and at umas home. People passing through quickly for a few classes at the yoga studio wouldn't have had

I can't find anything on the google group, they are probably private. This is what I found on the other forum by googling "svakul reality check" - http://website.informer.com/visit?domain=realitycheck.svakul.com]Reality Check Svakul The text on front page says : Reality Check A Kundalini Research Project A forum for the naked truth - This forum is a living work tha

Hi Phoenix. Well done tracking down where she is teaching. There was a google group forum and later a phb? something type forum which was called "svakul reality check" or something like that if my memory serves me right. There was a lot of people's deeply personal information on the forums following Uma's rule of "transparency". I guess here transparency h

hi phoenix86. i was only there for a bit really, but there was all this disturbing stuff people were talking about on an online forum and i saw some of it, but i didn't want to get involved. i read some things of some people and it was strange. there was also some violence spoken about which made me feel really uncomfortable. things seemed very strange. and there was all this talk about s

i was studying a little bit with this woman Uma Inder, Umaa for a few months about 3 years ago before seeing a few strange and not very nice things and behaviour. later, after leaving what i felt was very cultish atmosphere i saw recently she was not working at the yoga studio anymore and wondering why. i don't really want to email others from the group to find out though. i spoke to some of
