QuoteSparkyrrmoderator is correct. Please don't bore us (me, anyway) with your back-and-forth-wars that will clearly get BOTH of you banned? I have seen this so many times before. Watch yourselves. Why don't you use the private message system if you wish to spar with each other? I am trying to learn about this movement which seems to me to be a "Destini-lite", s

After reading through this whole thread I have not seen one shred of evidence proving that TZM is a destructive cult. I could be proven wrong in the future - but so far the detractors are not doing a very good job proving that this is a cult. *Not a member of TZM ** Not an expert on cults but I have been in one and have studied them for about 20 years on and off.

QuoteKlausHoeflerHi Hi. QuoteKlausHoefler here is a lot of fight against something but my first question is do somebody know how life is really work? Do you know how life works? Please explain. If I wanted to know how life works I would probably start with a course in biology not some weird group that believes in channeling dubious characters such as Hitler to gain wisdom about it. Q

I did not know where to put this on the forum. So, I thought I would just put this study here: Brain shuts off in response to healer's prayer WHEN we fall under the spell of a charismatic figure, areas of the brain responsible for scepticism and vigilance become less active. That's the finding of a study which looked at people's response to prayers spoken by someone pu

QuoteThe Anticult There is an excellent DVD class on the human brain. Understanding the Brain, taught by Dr. Jeanette Norden Many public libraries would have this DVD program on the human brain, 16 hours of accurate knowledge one can watch for free on DVD. Its fascinating in a lecture in the course, the professor talks about how there are "mirror neurons" and how they have

QuoteCameron Cope I would prefer to establish a person's credibility on whether the information they present is useful information and not on what name they choose to use to present the information. I know many are reacting to the adolph hitler interviews, but they are clearly not listening to what is being said. Let's just entertain the notion for a moment that it is inde

Desteni seems to be the pinnacle of the idea that bullshit baffles brains. Channeling Hitler? Come on!! That is such utter BS!!! Any one who believes that this lady is channeling Hitler is a total sucker and will most likely believe the most absurd claims possible. The members of this group are jumping through hoops trying to prove that there is nothing wrong with their belief system and

Get a load of this bullshit: "Since returning from the Harmonic Wealth Weekend, I have attracted a wonderful woman into my life, my health issues have completely cured themselves and my income has increased by 125% in the first 60 days." — Scott Hughes Especially the line - "my health issues have cured themselves". WTF - that is so obviously misleading and deluded I don&

Hi freebie and kclady! Congratulations on leaving! I was in the ICOC church many years ago in the early 90's. I posted my story here: Kip McKean the former leader of the ICOC has started another church with principles similar to the ICOC in LA after the various congregations of the ICOC had a falling out with Kip. I don't know how much of the former teachings the congregati

Correction to the above. This: "While I was in this suggestible/ state / mode a young attractive lady from the international church of christ invited me to a group Bible Study where i met one of gentlemen who was from that US state as me (instant rapport) who began the intense process of mind reform via their 2 on 1 personal bible studies process of recruiting members." Hi Sparky, I will gladly recount my experiences with this church. I need to mention that not all in fact most Churches of Christ are not or were not a part of this particular Church of Christ. I was recruited in college many years ago . I was dealing with a substance abuse problem at the time and I went to AA - which calls for a belief in God or higher power. As I had very little religious in

There was an offshoot of the Churches of Christ called the International Church of Christ that was led by Kip McKean which I was a member of and I can say without a doubt they were a destructive church with cult characteristics. Here are some links for you for further study: Over the last few years this group has dissolved with many of the congregations parting from the McKeans contro
