I have a friend who is interested in attending a conference in Atlanta offered by Matrix Energetics, founded by Dr. Richard Bartlett and co-taught by Dr. Mark Tillman. I'm helping her research this, because she hopes to avoid the LGAT fruit loop. I've read some of the material available online and it sounds like their "science" gets strange pretty within a sentence or two. M

To the RRForum, AC, and Regular Contributors, My enduring thanks for your efforts, here. You do an enormous service to folks who do internet research before signing up, attending, or buying into LGAT seminars. It was the information available on this forum that prepared me to protect myself at my one LGAT experience; without you, I can't imagine where my credulity would have led me. Yo

I just feel sick to my stomach reading about the San Diego death. I'm trying to recall whether ID was relinquished for the BKI School. I didn't go on the field trip...and that's a story in itself. By the time the announcement that we were to board a bus came around (and it was sudden, as was every other event), I'd already put my guard up high enough to know to bolt fro

I remember this guy. A friend loaned me a DVD of "The Secret" shortly after it was made available, asking me what I thought of it. I was in a fairly credulous phase and tried to watch it respectfully. Even so, this guy reminded me of a used car salesman. My impression was that there was something bad at work. There have been lots of televangelists who were more convincing than Ray.

I'm even more thankful today, in light of the James Ray news, for the instincts that preserved a remnant of my ability to think critically at the LGAT I attended. I didn't heed the warnings not to go, although I had read some information right here just beforehand and knew enough to be wary. That wariness kicked in hard at registration (things didn't read right or feel right), an

Okay, I'm in. Haven't been on the RR boards in months. Just knew you'd see the parallels with BKI's School For The Work. There were no sweat lodges, but there certainly could have been....everything else was in place, but that. This news pulls me back to that horribly anxious feeling the School gave me. Time to revisit my experience and try to be of further service.

Corboy, Your attorney friend may have seen the victim re-victimized in the courtroom enough times to recognize the potential for a repeat when it shows up. It's good to have a care-full attorney story to put up against the soulless attorney jokes that make the rounds so successfully. Thanks! Good response. Corboy, I think you nailed all the biggies in your list "losses" for deconversion. Even a couple of those, operating intensely, would prevent most people from making sudden change. A lot rides, too, on the personality of the subject. Some people are just more prone to attachment, group involvement, loyalty, etc. The potential detractor for us to consider, here, is what I'

TAC writes: "It might work better as a WARNING to people beforehand, before its too late. To plant a seed in the mind, and if they go to the LGAT, (please don't go), they see what was said here is accurate. Then the LGAT is not going to be as powerful. BK knows this, which is why she SWEARS SEMINAR ATTENDEES to secrecy. Secrets and surprise hold power. Its a common tactic many LGAT&

AC and Helpme2times, Actually, these last two posts were very helpful responses to my last. I especially appreciated the "I Got Schooled" blog and the comment, AC, about BK "getting on the phone" with apostates. Do you think that's something that her organization USUALLY does when they find a "schooled" member (how do we define "insider"?) bloggin

Corboy, Saw that. This wasn't a rhetorical question, either. What dries the discussion up at some point? On this thread, there's not new material available at the moment. On the guruphiliac thread, looked like things got contentious between a couple of participants. If the desired outcome is new participation, fresh involvement, continued dialogue about BK, opportunities to help

I've read Janaki's story. In her place, I wouldn't touch Gisela's comment with a ten foot pole; there's something fishy there. And something has certainly brought THIS thread to a screeching halt. Wonder what that could be?

Okay, this is seriously confusing. As I read BK's philosophy, she says we are all "innocent." And we are, therefore, being aged. But we are also "aging ourselves." I assume we are also "paining" ourselves and "sickening" ourselves. Is she "cancering" herself? is she basal-cell-ing herself? Didn't I read she got a facelift? Well,

New here. Coupla questions, not meant to be critical, just wondering how things work. Looks like most of this thread is quotes from other message boards, is that right? Why not just post a link and be done? Do these people quoted here contribute to this message board?
