Do you know what is even more insane than Byron Katie. People who believe in free will and at the same time hold the Calvinist ie current born again doctrine of pre-destination. In other words, they believe that God has already determined the outcome of their life, but have free will to change it. Now that's insane. Or how about the classic Campus Crusade for Christ line from the fou

The best selling author John MacArthur Pastor of Grace Community Church went to Bob Jones University. Now I understand where he is coming from.

Gee, vlinden. That's amazing that a person who is insane is a best selling author and seminar speaker. I wonder how she does it if she is so insane? But wouldn't that make the millions of people who buy her books insane? Are you saying that millions of people including me are insane. Interesting since you have never met me you can judge so freely. Ah, judgment, how does it feel?

Joyce is just another false prophet that seems to be the norm in the Body of Christ today. If God judges America, I fear he is going to start with all the fake ministers and the American Church of today that Preach Jesus and salvation as long as you join a church and Give, give, give. so sad

Bob Jones is probably the most racist University in the Country. It has been a breeding ground for many false prophets, most notable John MacArthur of Grace Community Church. It's a little know fact that John MacArthur tries to keep it secret that he attended. In fact, he was kicked out of the University as well. It makes sense.

I was wondering if anyone in here knows of anyone who used to work at Focus on the Family. I have heard that James Dobson runs FOF like a cult army and tends to fire anyone rather quickly that doesn't go along with his program or steps out of line. Thanks

Fred Phelps has it all wrong. God does not hate "fags". He needs to read the bible as JESUS does not say one word either pro or con about homosexuals. I was blown away when I actually found out that Jesus does not mention gays in the bible. A real eye opener for me, after being taught all these years that there was something wrong with being gay. Now having said that, it is in th

Your so called new age flavor of the month is bigger than every 3 years later. Gee, he must be a real flash in the pan, lol. I guess that's why Oprah picked his book for her book club and is doing an online seminar with him. Yep, you were right, he's a flash in the old proverbial pan.

Hagee is another cult and false prophet. He thinks global warming is made up by the left wing media, hawks jewelry at has church, and has beliefs similar to the Aryan nation.

I used to be a member of Campus Crusade for Christ when I was in College. I would consider them a cult. They put much pressure on you to attend and if you miss a meeting, they shame you and lay guilt trips on you. When I finally left, they basically told me I was going to hell and they would pray for me. Thank God I'm out of that cult.

No, it's not. You can prove this to yourself how there is more than one "voice" inside your head. Do this. Close your eyes and think to yourself, I will wait for the first thought to come into my mind. As you quietly are waiting for the thought, you are silently thinking- watching. Soon, a thought out of nowhere will arise in your mind. If you noticed, this was an entirely d

I find Byron Katie dubious in that she charges enormous amounts for her seminars. Why is it if somebody charges money for a product, that makes it bad or evil? Since James Dobson charges for his books, would you call James Dobson dubious. How about Rick Warren? Joyce Meyer? They all bring in millions of dollars a year in income, MUCH more than Byron Katie. I find your criticisms dubio

I was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ while a student at USC. They are very cult like in how they operate as some of the posts have mentioned. I was fortunate to escape, but it wasn't easy. My advice, stay away from this cult.

It was a GREAT book written in the 70's about a Seagull that didn't want to be boxed in by the traditional fundamentalist beliefs of his flock. What a great story for today.

Yes, unfortunately people who live in fear and don't really trust in their beliefs must constantly put down others they do not agree with. There is truth in many things outside of "the Church" It's a good way to live and the way God wanted it. Hey everybody, remember this thing called free will that all the "church people" want to take away from us. Wake up a

What a VERY childish and immature thing to say: Go to Amazon and look for the second book, then click on "Read all customer reviews", then "Lowest Rating First". The reviews of those who were unimpressed make for some interesting reading. Go to the Lowest Ratings first. Why? Are you afraid that if you start at the good ratings, people may actually say they like the b
