This is terrible and totally outrageous that Hansard should be allowed to keep re-training and re-inventing himself in this way so that he can then go out and practice and cause even more damage to more people. What the hell is wrong with these people who keep training him in these new therapies? This June, I met up with a group of other therapists and met one who had worked with Hansard at

I too have not posted here for sometime and I myself had a very lucky escape from Hansard about 3 years ago now at Eden. I don't think the apprentices should be blamed either and I know of some who have had a very hard time coping and re-building their lives following this. One even changed his name so as not to be associated with Hansard any longer and I know of one other who has had to

He did at one time say and I quote "I treat sick people". He also managed to give the impression of being a doctor by saying that he could often be found lecturing to students at the local hospital, or consulting with other doctors about sick patients in the A and E department of a local hospital or one that was close to the Eden Clinic in Chelsea.

QuoteReal-name-goneDorje My aim is still the same Christopher should be dealt with under English law like any other medical professional. This forum is about Christopher Hansard. The problem here is that CH was never a medical professional to begin with!! To be considered a medical professional, one needs to be either a doctor or a nurse, which also means holding registration with either

Well, well. What a turn up for the books. My post has just been delivered and in it there is a letter from Christopher Hansard no less. Would you believe that he is still practicing? He has set-up at 6, Lower Grosvenor Place in London, as the lease at King's Road ended. "Hello, I am writing to let you know my change of practice and telphone number, as at one time you were

Jeff, Why have you dragged Charlotte into this? I know that she used to work at Eden at one time, but was she an apprentice of Hansard's and do you know this for sure? It is just that at present, she is a massage therapist and actually is a registered practitioner of The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage. Go and check out the website at: www.arvigomassage.com Click on

I don't think that one has to use the title 'Dr' to misrepresent themselves as being medically qualified when they are not. It is enough for someone to believe that you are by what you have said. It is my belief that Hansard has done this. Others have said that he told one client that he was medically qualified and another that he was a psychiatrist. I believe that he did t

Kurukulla, Great post and a great summary that acts as a stark reminder. Whilst reading this something struck me of the similarities between Hansard and the case of serial killer Harold Shipman, who for years killed off his elderly patients without anyone ever finding out until years later. Yes, anomalies were discovered, but then dismissed time after time, so each time, this enabled him t

I would re-iterate what atlantic has said. The police would be very interested, as I think there is something known as 'Offences under the Medical Act'. This would incorporate the diagnosis of disease, such as lesions and 'ME' and altering prescribed medication without the knowledge of the patient's GP or specialist without being a registered medical practitioner with t

Jeff, There are still 3 questions that atlantic posed that you have not answered. Why not? and will you do so now? 1. Have you met Hansard yourself? 2. Do you have any medical experience? 3. Do you have any background in spiritual practice yourself?

Thanks for that long explanation Cirrus, it was helpful. However, I would say that although massage may not fully concentrate on the soft tissues any type of massage has an effect on the soft tissues. Just by touching the body, you are by implication touching soft tissue and having an effect on it. By touching the body, you are also affecting the nervous system too. I wonder if Jeff has com

Sounds very much like experiences with Kundalini energy to me. Kundalini can produce psychotic episodes or similar, that can resemble this - not sure in Hansard's case though, if this has been going on for years, then perhaps there is underlying psychiatric disorder too? I am intrigued by this special kind of massage that he supposedly taught. I have studied and practiced many styles of

I am sure that not all the practitioners at Eden would have necessarily known about what was occuring. I do know of at least one independant practitioner of acupuncture and craniosacral therapy, who practiced there and just rented clinic space and was not one of CH's apprentices. If practitioners such as did not have a lot to do with CH I am not sure they would have known. I do know of

Jeff, That might well be, but as I said in my previous post, a fear culture has been created by Hansard and ayone working there can be made to feel extremely uncomfortable and even victimised if they even try to step out of line. It can also be made very hard to leave situations such as this with threats. You make it sound very easy that people knew what was occuring and did nothing. If t

Jeff, I think perhaps it is you who is angry and understandably so - the fact that CH has perpetrated abuses for years and is still seen to be 'getting away with it'. However, it is my belief that CH was and still is a tryrant and a bully. Bullies normally create a culture of fear and it is this fear that keeps others from speaking out, when yes I totally agree, that if they knew

Seems like I had a very lucky escape really. I did go to Eden once before going to see Hansard himself. This was to see a chap there who practiced craniosacral therapy and acupuncture. He also did visceral manipulation and was a very competent and sincere practitioner. However, I always felt that the energy of the building did not feel right to me. It was just a gut feeling that I could not

From now on then, perhaps Hansard should refer to himself as a Shamanic practitioner. Nobody could argue with that if he does have this shamanic knowledge. No shame in that at all - lots of people are interested in shamanism and doing journeys, myself included. It is not quite true that alternative therapists are not accountable. Chiropractors and Osteoapths are and acupunturists and others

Hi wisedup, Thank you for sharing your story with such courage. Unfortunately Hansard is not accountable as he is not a doctor in any sense of the word and is certainly not GMC registered. Only professionals are accountable and he is not!!

I don't know why you refer to Hansard as Dr.? He is not a doctor - registered medical practitioner and never will be. He would like to think that - delusions of grandeur I suspect, but that does not make it real and he is not.

Hi, Yes, I agree. I was using Virgin search engine and this forum came up, which is why I posted in the first place. Think about it this way though, for all the Christopher Hansard's of this world there are also some great people/practitioners out there who are doing some great work with people, to redress the balance!

I have just visited the Medical Council of New Zealand website and typed in the surname Hansard and there is not one name that comes up under any speciality or area. However, this does not have to mean anything. His mother could have died and if she was a doctor would have retired by now, being in her 70's, 80's. I know that in the UK they remove deceased doctors from the register

Hi Mariah, The guy who wrote the Four Agreements is Don Miguel Ruiz who is a Toltec. His mother was a healer and his grandfather was a Shaman. I bought the book and the four agreements in themselves are good to try and abide by for living: Be impeccable with your word Don't take anything personally Don't make assumptions Always do your best However, the book itself is a

What kind of treatment did he do on you? I am sure that you will be ok though. Yes, his chiropractor has written a brilliant book on Tibetan Kum Nye exercises that I obtained a copy of. I try and do them on a daily basis and find them very useful in conjunction with Qi Gong. Anyway, apparently Eden has closed for good now. I went to see a friend for a Maya Abdominal Massage treatment thi

Yes, I noticed the stammer too. Don't feel too bad about him though. I suppose at the one and only time I went to see him, I did have the advantage of being a practitioner myself, so if any purported practitioner behaves in the manner in which he did, it puts you on high alert straight away, which is why I never went back. I have consulted several practitioners myself in several discipl

I know Vick is a craniosacral therapist too, but mo

I am now extremely glad that I made the decision never to go back again. I think I realised at the time that the angry response was not right for a practitioner and the first time it has ever happened to me too. I also feel sorry for his family, but also for all his employees and so called 'apprentices' at Eden Medical Centre, of which there were several I believe. It is also a
