My response to Dorje is the same response I have to you, in respect to honest answers, in private. I do not expect to be returned in kind, and that is why I am exiting. Cheerio.

Dorje, I will not longer be participating on this thread. If you are willing to accept honest answers to your question, I would be happy to oblige in private.

I am quite capable of having a reasonable conversation, however, whereas you are allowed to call my conversation unreasonable, I am not allowed to express a similar opinion about your behaviour.

Jeez Jeff. You've created three blogs devoted to this guy. You write letters and call up neighbours. At some point aren't there bigger fish to fry? I mean, really, what did he do to you exactly?

Quotejeff boweAs Oak has stated they will be taking legal action, it would be sensitive to respect that decision, and not enquire, for the purposes of journalistic voyeurism, as to details or reasons. Is this not subverting the thread and discouraging conversation? Is not accusing a journalist of voyerism a personal attack? How about a little integrity from yourself.

As Mr. Hansard is no longer promoting himself as an authority in the Bon religion, and therefore the cited reason for your interest in this issue has come to completion, what is the reason for your continued interest, if not voyeurism?

Sorry Pema, for not replying earlier. I don't have any more than that rumour. Everyone connected to this story seems to have scattered to the four winds. Presumabley some people have talked to their solicitors where appropriate and Mr. Hansard will reinvent himself in some less grandiose fashion. I am still interested in the back story however.

My goodness. Could Peter Hansard be the same orthinological author who wrote the first ever book on the study of bird droppings? He also wrote Field of Horses and other illustrated and informative books about birds, horses, monkeys, etc.

Do you know when and where he died and whether he remained married. I heard he was a bit of a "lady's man."

Would that be the same Peter Hansard that has credits for various New Zeland screenplays, Smash Palace for instance.

"Possibly inadvertently, you have hit the nail square on the head here. Usually when someone withdrawls from their life situation so suddenly and completely after joining a yoga group you often find that in their practice of yoga stands a guru teacher they are devoted to and manipulated by." While this is sometimes true I disagree that it is usually or necessarily the case. Often now

Scientology seems like a criminal conspiracy to me. In my opinion it uses fraud and extortion to entice people to be involved, and then threatens and squeazes them if they resist or want to leave or complain. The purpose is to make money. It uses front companies and hides beyond "religion," which it isn't at all. It also attempts to influence wealthy and powerful people to its caus

I would say that Scientology fits the definition of a racket to a tee. Auditing is obviously the scientology version of heroin or crack. How come Rico has never been used to go after the Church?

What are the ideas behind scientology? I tried to read Dianetics once but found it unreadable. I have a category I put certain books in based on what I feel it is doing to my brain. I call it "mindf***ing. Dianetics went into that category very quickly. Another thing associated with Scientology is auditing and the more auditing you do the higher up the pyramid you go. Is that pretty

His stuff is about as far out as you can get. Check out the connection to "The Philadelphia Experiment" and "Stargate." Somebody else seems to have taken over the flower of life franchise and on his website he seems annoyed about that.

I certainly wouldn't want a psychiatrist in charge of any class I was attending. The psychiatry profession deserves a thread or two devoted just to them. That said, one of the problems with "release" is that it is not for everyone. For instance, in the kind of therapy with which I am most familiar people have what is called an open door, a target door, and a closed door. Dependi

Rick, I have no agenda here. However, I find the criticism mounted by Jeff Bowe increasingly alarmingly. His theme is attacking Hansard because of a "misrepresentation of the authemtic bon tradition." That is sort of like calling someone a "heretic" or an "enemy of the state" and then wanting them punished for it. Having lived through the stazi and generalissmo an

"This is no argument or doubt regarding the fraudulent nature of Hansard's claims," It is true that he has been unable to back up his claims of having been trained in the manner typically cited by him. "Unless of course one chooses to ignore the glaring inconsistencies, contradictions, distortions, plagiarism and deceptions, which are woven throughout his Dur-Con fictio

There is no similarity whatsoever between what Rampa wrote in his books and what Hansard has written in his. "First and foremost a sincere appology" Unfortunately that is not going to happen in any public way as long as there is a legal threat hanging over his head. Legal advise would tell him not to do that publicly. Perhaps he has been making apologies privately; we really don't know do we. Seems like all this manifestation stuff that has become so popular nowadays has become a recipe for unecological manifestation - i.e. selfishness and greed. Sadly, there is a few good things in the Hicks material but it so easilly becomes obscured by the above. Do you think it's possible to find a few gifts in amongst the garbage, and leave the Hicks behind?

Rick, I think you were a little heavy handed here. I understand why you would be a little thin skinned in respect to legalese. However, the author brought up interesting legal issues which goes through many people's minds when posting here, and it was simply an oppurtunity for you to have the law clarified. It is also an oppurtunity for you to clarify what this board is about. Remember,

He’s the one who makes a habit of sexually abusing women under the guise of teaching and/or treating them. Which part of his representation of himself would you
