Friends feel like they need to get to every meeting possible or Satan might overcome them. So much fear and insecurity. They don't know if they are saved. They are trusting in their perfect way of Truth! Sad.

Professing Friends (2X2) hold annual conventions on certain member's farms annually. The professing folks believe their church is the only right church and their ministers (workers) are direct successors of the 12 apostles. This is George Walker's sect. Early Irish workers left all and went homeless like 12 apostles in the bible. Group is very secretive. No consistent name. No headq

Anyone familiar with a no name church (no name yet many unofficial names) called "the truth?" They meet in homes for Wednesday night and Sunday morning meetings. Their ministers are called workers. They are low profile and secretive. They believe that they are the only true religion and feel people outside their group cannot be saved. They rarely interact with anyone outside their group

The workers in the "Truth" fellowship are clandestine. They have meetings with regional head workers but professing people and even younger workers are forbidden to attend. Many of the friends are in the dark about worker staff changes, workers entering/leaving "the work", future meeting changes, changes in ownership of conventions, special meeting or convention visits and oth

The professing people in the nameless sect called "Truth" believe they are the only people going to heaven! They say Jesus is their founder. They say they are in the perfect way of God. They feel that they aren't in a religion but in a way of life! Their workers or ministers have control over who they marry, worldly objects in their home, where they worship (must be in a worker ord

I think many of the children reared in a professing home feel that at some point in their life, they must profess and take part in the meetings. Professing parents may pressure a young child to stand up in a gospel meeting and profess when the workers offer people a chance to "profess". Testimonies of the friends in meeting or workers during conventions often stresses making your

To Marzman, This statement below is simply not true according to the rank and file of friends and workers especially head workers. Senior workers preach about how people miss meetings and eventally "lose out" which means they will go to hell if they die outside of the meetings.------------------------------------ And most professing people try to never miss meeting. But, it's not

Marzman, The biggest problem lies in the fact that for many professing families, the "Truth" was the only acceptable form of religion and all other religions were considered to be of the devil! Truth was seen as the only right way. Keeping up the standard of the head workers were considered to be the only right way to live. Professing people dressed like the workers told them to

Growing up, my parents held the workers as infallible servants of God! If the workers spoke something in a meeting or in conversation, it was as if God had directly spoke the message to them! I think the workers often recieve praise from the rank and file of the professing people because they preach 2 by 2, don't maintain a home living with the friends and keep a quiet low profile imag

VT, This "Truth" sect which has no name is found in most areas of the earth except the Middle East. A few of them "profess" this fellowship yet there aren't many of them in one area. The "friends" are often quiet and secretive about their religion to outsiders or non-members. They don't like for outsiders to know much of their beliefs. They don't

Once you stand up in a worker led gospel meeting and "make your choice" or profess, you will be under pressure to make "changes' in your life. Professing people see Jesus as their example and believe professing people must live a life approved by Jesus and His Servants or the workers/ministers. Professing people are expected to be faithful in getting to each and every meeti

Workers often rent public buildings in order to hold "gospel meetings" aimed at recruiting outsiders to join their true church. 2 workers of the same sex will hold gospel meetings several times per week. ----------- There is something about the workers that often commands respect. They are quiet people. They are dressed up. They never get into loud debates or discussions. It is easy to see why the friends have allowed the workers to excersize power or authority over them. Workers can be gentle and kind to new converts for awhile until the person is expected to grow into an understandin

A nameless group usually called "truth" has an interesting way of appealing to non-members (outsiders). Sometimes the ministers (workers) will pass out cards stating the time and location of gospel meetings in town halls. Professing people (friends) usually invite more outsiders (anyone who doesn't profess their church) to meetings. When you first meet "the friends&

Some of the ministers or workers in the "Truth" have been guilty of some abuse. In Western Canada, scores of professing people have been kicked out of the truth sect for questioning the workers. Alberta, BC and SK have had instances where workers demanded submission and kicked some of the friends out of the truth. In the Truth sect, leaving the truth is seen as a ticket to hell.

The ministers or workers have a high status in this truth group! They are seen as closer to God than the "friends" or professing people. When a main speaker is speaking from the platform at convention, he is seen as a messenger from God. Friends must submit to a worker or they will be kicked out of the fellowship. And members believe you cannot go to heaven if you aren't taking
