You're doing great work, much better than the media on this topic, so don't think nobody has noticed. Couple notes: 1. Expecting actual journalism from bloggers is pointless. Not that all bloggers are bad, that is not true. But things like Gawker, and hell Yahoo news, have completely dropped the bar and it is perennial amateur hour. Writing itself has been devalued and in the int

and that is another sad example of a writer who is completely unable to "investigate" OneTaste as the Gawker article claims. (of course Gawker is doing it simply for 'clicks' for their business). One has to wonder, why only people with absolutely no experience and no training in the new "persuasion techniques" write these pieces on OneTaste, and other groups like

A summary from Nymag, and they make the point that OneTaste and Daedone are "monetizing orgasms", and making people dependent on an external organization and external people, instead of themselves. (which of course is how they make money off it). Except that they say cult experts have linked Daedone to Baranco, which is false. OneTaste's own PR people stated... "...OneTa

To see some photo's of Vic Baranco, search google images for: Victor Baranco to see a very apparent used-appliance salesman who decided instead of selling appliances, he's sell access to sex. WARNING: be aware that you will see disturbing images of a middle-aged man posing in Guru pajamas, tracksuits, and shirtless on pillows with young women.

Google is quite useful...Using the Google date-specific advanced search, you can see that there seems to be only one mention of Nicole Daedone being a follower of Victor Baranco before October 2008 when it was posted in this thread. In Google, if you start to type in the words... OneTaste San Francisco... Google then gives you the word... cult ...automatically. Because that is the top search, and the top word used in articles on OneTaste. Everyone suspects its a type of sex-cult. Again, which is why OneTaste are themselves using those terms to target their Marks, people who think that a "sex-cult"

Another point. If you become involved with OT, how can you be sure your confidentiality will be protected? Later in life, you may be offered job opportunities that require security clearances. You may be engaged to be married and your past flirtation with One Taste might become an embarassment. Another point. Suppose you yourself are famous and or have brag worthy connection

Notice this thread identified the Victor Baranco sex-cult roots of One Taste years before the media. And also identified the bald-faced lies by the leader of One Taste on that issue. Bald-faced brazen lying is generally a "clue" something is amiss...ya think? Its shocking and unbelievable the level of brazen propaganda being sold by One Taste to the credulous "media" in v

Is confidentiality protected in these kinds of 'cutting edge' groups? Are you given signed statements that your confientiality will be protected. More information on purchasing power around 1970-1972. In his biography, Sammy Hagar tells us his expenses in 1973 in the San Francisco Bay Area -- right where Baranco was purchasing houses and charging $200 a month room and board to those wanting to live in his communes--plus expecting them dibate labor fixing up his properties. (See above) Hagar tells us: Quote"I got my $ 5,000. I

Besides rental fees, $384,000 a year, the Institute also collects money from some 70-odd weekly courses at $45 each." (Mindfuckers was published in 1972.) So

Many, including Baranco's young disciple, assume rhetoric is the "art of persuasion". Here is what Aristotle says. Baranco may have given that young man partial information about rhetoric and let him believe that was complete information about rhetoric. Here is what Aristotle, the most influential classical authority on rhetoric said about the subject. And Aristotle would ha

Sounds like these alleged "writers" at whimsymedia.com are either totally naive, completely incompetent in "journalism", or simply work in advertising directly, (or through brown envelopes full of cash), and publish the press release of whoever pays. When cults use sex to manipulate people, that is very dangerous territory. Worse, when they use sex to lure vulnerable peopl

Definition of perfect is no need for further change. Complete. Going by this text, Baranco re-defined 'perfect' as capable of further change. Which loaded the language by taking a word (in this case perfect) and redefining it to mean its opposite. Further that perfection includes the potential for change. Note that this is a twist on language. The commonly accepted definitions of 'perfect' imply completion,
