An article in this month's Scientific American Mind is about false recovered memories and Multiple Personality Disorder.

The statistics in the article (I didn't check the online version all the way through but they are in the magazine itself) about the mental and emotional decline of patients in therapy, where they have been convinced of their split personalities and "satanic abuse", are particularly horrifying. Much of the damage done by these therapists seems to be permanent.
