I created a Facebook Page to expose what is happening inside the Rabbinical Seminary of America, also known as Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, a high control yeshiva in Queens, New York.

I went through the system myself years ago. Even then, the pressure to conform was intense. You either adapted or got pushed to the side. But at least the leadership kept some line between the yeshiva and the home.

That line is now gone.

Under Rabbi Dovid Harris, the current Rosh Yeshiva, the school has begun interfering directly in family relationships. In a letter to me, he wrote that he had told my son he was absolved from the commandment to honor his father. His reason? That I had poor judgment, and he pointed to the fact that I had homeschooled my son as proof. I showed that letter to my son. No such criticism was ever directed at his mother, my ex-wife, who supports the school. The message was unmistakable: distance yourself from the parent who does not align with us. This is not accidental. It is a deliberate use of religious authority to divide families and tighten control.

I started this Page after realizing that a rabbi my son trusted and encouraged me to speak to was enabling his estrangement from me. That was the turning point. There was no one left to turn to. No rabbi would confront the system. Only the internet remains to expose the truth.

Students are taught that following “daas Torah,” meaning whatever the Rosh Yeshiva says, is treated as the word of God. So they follow without question. And no other rabbi will step in because of an unspoken rule. No one contradicts a Rosh Yeshiva, even when he is destroying families.

I launched the Page to call this out for what it is. This is not a tradition. It is a spiritual coercion dressed in the language of Torah. It isolates, controls, and turns children against their parents, all while pretending to be righteous.

To keep building this effort, I need more followers on the Facebook Page. That will unlock features that let me share more stories, organize content, and reach the people who need to see this. While the yeshiva is part of the Jewish world, the patterns I expose are relevant to anyone affected by high control groups. I draw from firsthand experience and break down how religious texts are misquoted and misused to justify manipulation and control.
